Do not stay here unless you like being treated like a bum. The desk people are rude and the place has the air of a skid row flophouse. The location may be ok, but this does NOT trump the negatives, plus the private room rate is more than for what you can get a good hotel room downtown.

This is not a hostel, its either an old folks home or a half-way house - or both. My friends and I were passing through, looking for a place to stay where we could meet other travelers and hear about SLC - ya know, hostel things. Checking in there were multiple signs saying "no refunds", this was a bad sign... More

You may want to avoid this place if you are not a seasoned traveler. After i came back from my ski outing my roommate from germany told me all his cash had been removed from his wallet. The only time he could pinpoint was when he went to use the bathroom and left his wallet behind another man had been... More

I have just checked in. The girl at the desk put me in the wrong room, a room where homeless guys are put. While I was waiting, she was checking in a bum. I'm not being a prude- most hostels are great. This one is creepy, there is almost no security and they won't give you a refund if you... More

Okay, so this is the only hostel in Salt Lake City (that I could find anyway), so for that reason, chances are that backpackers, like myself, that are passing through, are going to end up here. Luckily, I don't think there is much in SLC to detain you for more than a night because that is as long as I... More

I stayed there and was very happy with the accommodation. I had a private room with shared bathroom. Very clean, Shower was hot and most of all the staff was very nice and incredibly helpful. I had a great experience, when my car trunk would not open two staff members DJ and Lauren asked if they could help. And help... More

DO NOT BOOK AT THIS HOSTEL! My girlfriend and I booked this hostel way back in March 2013 for a trade show in July/August 2013. While we amended the dates in April, the hostel confirmed this was ok. We then received an abrupt email in mid June cancelling our booking. As we are in Salt Lake City for a trade... More

I stayed one night, a Saturday night. The hostel itself was very nice, clean, comfortable. 2 x tv rooms, full laundry, computer room, 2x kitchens and a piano room!! Plenty of on street parking out the front. A little ways from downtown, with attractions such as the State Capital Building and Temple Square, tho all are walkable. The hostel is... More

Let me start by saying our room was clean and quiet and the location to downtown is excellent for walking. However, this is like no hostel I have ever stayed in. The clientele appears to be mostly long-term renters who are down on their luck. We stayed 2 nights and never encountered another "traveller" or spring break reveler like ourselves.... More

It was fun for an adventurous traveler like me who was there to ski. It is located in a lovely, neighborhood with lots of character and beautiful old homes. Met fellow travelers from Utah, New York, California, Idaho, Korea, New Zealand, Belgium. I stayed in a dormatory room with a clean, comfortable bunk bed. Had access to full kitchen to... More
