My wife and I visited SLC for Comic Con and we were lucky enough to find a room right across the street in the VERY awesome Salt Lake City Downtown Marriott! We walked right across the road to The Salt Palace, seriously, it was just that simple. Every staff member we talked to, from the front desk to housekeeping and... More

I always stay at a Marriott, if there is one available. The room for my stay was nice, clean and centrally located to where I wanted to be. One issue was not getting any instruction when I arrived to tell me where the room elevators were. I finally figured out on my own that the parking elevators and room elevators... More

I just returned from a 3 night stay at this hotel. My room had a bad smell. I asked them twice to deodorize it. If they did, I couldn't tell. There was water damage on the bathroom ceiling. I wasn't impressed. For $300.00 a night, I would expect a much nicer room.

Let me start off by saying that my trip to the Marriott downtown was business related. We were there for a trade show at the convention center across the way. Needless to say the hotel and all of the surrounding ones were very busy that weekend. That said, we had requested two queen beds since myself and my dads were... More

Nice hotel and very convenient to the public transportation to the airport. I was checked in by very friendly staff and the room was nice and clean. I would recommend this to anyone. I didn't eat any meals at the hotel, but they were close to a bunch of restaurants.

The location of this Marriott really can't be bettered - its on the opposite side of the road from the Convention Center, attached to the swanky downtown shopping area, and literally round the corner from the Temple area. The staff were friendly, room service and breakfast were good. Public areas are light airy, and welcoming. The rooms are fine, but... More

It was our anniversary weekend so it was a special weekend. Was booked on a high floor over looking City Creek Mall and the Salt Lake Temple. Very nice room. Breakfast in the morning was very good. Staff was friendly all made for a very nice special weekend. Thank you Marriott

Nice room, nicely appointed and very helpful staff. The housekeeping, however, left a lot to be desired. No rubber mat for the surprisingly slippery bathtub shower. No refill of soap, shampoo or toilet paper. It didn't get so bad that we needed to call for reinforcements, but we did just squeak by. Surprising for Marriott. Oh, and they did engage... More

Good service. Good room. Great location. Mediocre bar and restaurant. But that was OK. There are several very good restaurants and bars nearby. And great for site seeing with Temple Square so close. I'd stay here again.

Dear Casa Pete, Thank you for writing your review of our hotel. I'm glad that you had a good experience and my staff and I look forward to your return. In addition to your positive comments, you also mentioned that our bar and restaurant were "mediocre". Although that may be okay for some, it is not okay for us. We... More

I stay here often. My last review talks about how this is the best location of the two downtown Marriott's, and I still stand by that. Location is fantastic. Another benefit of this Marriott over the City Center Marriott is the beds. Beds here are much more comfortable. The beds at City Center are too firm in my opinion. Here's... More
