We booked our room over the internet as we were looking for a pet friendly motel. We received a call from the desk clerk just 5 minutes after we got to our room. He said it was brought to his attention that we had a dog in our room, I said yes, but you already know that, because our on... More

Best Western Garden Inn on 600 South (West Gate Bldg?) in Downtown Salt Lake @ $71.99 /nt. Room problems: lousy internet speed at 560 kbps; noisy floor joists in room above due to wood construction (we could hear person walk across the floor the bathroom, hear the door squeak shut and the toilet flush so loud we thought the pipe... My stay at the Best Western Garden Inn was just for a night. The location was good and was close to shopping, restaurants, and Temple Square. It took about 15-20 minutes to get to Temple Square. But it is walking distance and you just walk down straight on the street. The breakfast buffet was cold but it had eggs, waffles... More

My husband and sons just stayed at this Best Western last week-end, and found it to be in a great location. About a 15 minute walk to Temple Square. Restaurants in walking distance also. The beds were very comfortable, rooms clean. Would stay again.

Went to SLC for the Christmas holiday and ski vacation. Garden Inn was easy to get to from freeway. Close enough to many places to eat and three ski rental places, walking distance. It is a motel which was a surpise since the photos made it look like a hotel. However, the rooms were clean and the breakfast is better... More

I stayed recently at the Best Western Garden Inn - a 2 Q room - for 5 days and 4 nights in order to attend a conference. Expedia stated it was 4 blocks away from the Salt Lake City convention city - which is true - but it's more than a mile away and a 15-minute walk. That wouldn't be... More

Went to SLC with my "elderly" parents for doctor appointment. Conveniently located, room was clean but dated, but it was quiet at night which is the biggest plus. Breakfast buffet was mediocre - don't expect them to fill up the empty spots on the buffet line... Parking was convenient to the room but request a ground floor upon reservations -... More

The BW Garden Inn will do if you are doing a quick overnight in SLC. It is conveniently located for the airport and downtown. (See my review of Cafe Molise.) If you pick up a travel brochure and clip the coupon, the rate is only $55. The brochure can be found at travel information centers, or as close as the... More

We spent one night at the Best Western Garden Inn and that was plenty. If I had needed to stay in SLC for more than one night, I would have found another hotel. The location is good - just a few blocks from Temple Square, but the room was dirty and old. We had a room with 2 beds (we... More

When we arrived at the Garden Inn, it seemed that we were headed for trouble. A lobby full of weary guests had me a little worried, a crowd at the check in desk didn't ease my mind. When it was finally my turn to check in, the clerk couldn't find my reservation. Luckily, I had printed off the confirmation (from... More
