Vintage hotel. First appearance is quite charming and it has lovely curb appeal. Reception area and lobby is very lovely and welcoming. Lobby is very roomy and greets guests with iced lemon water and apples for those checking in. Rooms had very nice decor & comfy beds. However the bathroom door was very near to an armoire holding the TV... More

We stayed at the Peery for just one night before leaving for Zion in the morning. I was expecting the worst after reading many mixed reviews, but was pleasantly surprised to find a beautiful old hotel in a great location. Our room was very small but exceptionally clean, with an exceedingly comfortable bed. There was ample parking on the street... More

We wanted to stay in downtown area as we had great experience living in downtown of San Diego. Downtown of SLC was somewhat quiet and less happening. Feb is usually cold in SLC. However, this year it was hot and I had tough time sleeping as it was too hot inside the small rooms. Pros - Conveniently located - Rental... More

My boyfriend stayed here for a business trip. He was initially impressed by the place. A medical condition made it uncomfortable for him to stay here. Staff was hard pressed to accommodate. Manager promised a refund, which never came (even with multiple, documented attempts from both him and Expedia). Not a great experience overall for him.

Handy downtown location, friendly, clean, and we were eager to try a Tempur-pedic bed!!! Our daughters enjoyed the historic factor (especially the haunted part). Brew house across the street was a handy place to eat.

I didn't know such bad places existed. This is the worst hotel I have stayed in since 1989 when someone stole all my clothes in an army motel. There are no services. The walls are paper thin. I called the front desk and gave up after the phone rang for 3 solid minutes. I prepaid and need to be in... More

The Peery Hotel appears to have been modestly renovated in the 80s or 90s and has suffered from lack of appropriate maintenance since. We booked 5 nights in Feb-2015 and checked out after 2. Room was small for 2 people, no coffee/tea maker, no chair at the desk table. One night stand; adequate power plug ins, but none at table... More

The room was very small, lacked pad and pen, and didn't have a clock. There were not enough hangers. The stopper in the tub would not stop the water from draining out There was no coffee or tea in the room. The breakfast was very basic and not very tasty. The value for the money was the worst we've had... More

The Peery was a good value and very tastefully put together. The staff was friendly and helpful. Our room, while small, was nicely decorated and wholly comfortable. The mattress was exceptionally good! We enjoyed passing through the spacious, elegant lobby to enjoy a high-quality continental breakfast, We will stay there again.
