I recently spent several days in Salt Lake City on business, and while my traveling companions stayed up the street at the Marriott, I opted for the charm of the Peery. I'm glad I did! This place felt very european to me. Small but elegant rooms, gorgeous interior, and just an all around good experience. The mattress was heavenly! The... More

I received a very warm welcome to this historic and charming hotel. For being over a 100 years old it holds it value. The suite I stayed in was very spacious with two separate rooms. This hotel is the heart of Salt Lake City and walking distance to some great restaurants and malls. I truly believe this hotel is a... More

I would not stay here again. The staff was indifferent, the rooms were ridiculously small, and we had to pay for both parking and internet! What!?! Then had a sleepless night after two drunk girls (family) of the owners, told us the place was haunted.

We have stayed here multiple times. The rooms are restored and take you back in time to when the hotel was first built. Except for the flat screen tv. The beds are very comfortable and you cannot beat the location.

The stay was comfortable and the hotel is clean and close to everything downtown: restaurants, bars, event centers, etc. HOWEVER, the hotel amenities described on their website are completely inaccurate: 1. They don't have 2 restaurants on site. The hotel is adjacent to the Macaroni Grill and another restaurant but these restaurants are not part of the hotel. 2. Continental... More

Overall I enjoyed my stay at the Peery. If you are used to modern buildings and spacious rooms, this won't be the hotel for you. But if you like the character of an older building that is generally well maintained with tempurpedic beds and if you like affordability in downtown Salt Lake City near good restaurants and Temple Square, then... We had a problem with another downtown hotel at check-in so we just got back in our car and drove to see what else we could find. Are we ever glad we did! The Peery is charming, reasonably priced, comfortable, staffed with helpful people, and a quick walk from entertainment and dining. We'll definitely return.

Stayed here for one night on a stop over. Very nice old hotel. We did get stuck in the elevator. Rooms were very large and classic. You have to pay a very high charge for wifi each day. The bar closes early. Otherwise a good value and nice hotel right in the downtown area.

The Peery is a nice old-fashioned, old-style hotel, a little dusty (figuratively). I would much rather stay there than at the over-the-top Grand America, where I attended a five-day conference. By the way, I am getting very tired of the Trip Advisor minimum length for reviews.

Kicking myself for not booking with the Hilton. Nice historic hotel. Sink and bathtub are dirty. The sheets have holes and stains. The room isn't much bigger than a jail cell. The air conditioning is too loud. The only thing I can say positive is the bed is comfortable. No flat screen tv's. If I was paying for the price... More
