We decided to make a last minute jaunt to Salt Lake City and booked a room at Peery Hotel. Golly! What a find! Its a small boutique hotel central to a lot of great restaurants, and the TRAX. Ok..pro's and con's..Pro's are the bed was very comfortable (temperpedic, I think), rooms very clean, quiet, and good location. Con's are rooms... More

Beautiful hotel! Room was very small, but was cozy and we enjoyed our stay. Mattress was a tempurpedic, which is not my favorite and TV has not been updated, but will stay here again when I return to Salt Lake. Milena at the front desk was very nice and cheerful.

My teen and I stayed at the Peery Hotel for a college visit. I had read some less than favorable reviews but decided the issues were minor compared to the price and location. We did not rent a car so parking was not an issue for us. We stayed in the King suite and there was plenty of room. Yes,... More

My initial reaction was not favorable, but I came to realize that the parts added up to a positive stay! 1. Price is almost half of other local hotels 2. Breakfast, while not fancy, was good, adequate, plentiful AND INCLUDED! 3. Location is perfect for all downtown sights and places of interest 4. Staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, esp.... We have wanted to stay here for a while and had plans in SLC so we decided to jump at the opportunity. We prefer staying at historic/boutique hotels to the new cookie cutter type because historic hotels tend to be a little quirky and the Peery is no different. The lobby/entrance area is simply fantastic with a gorgeous chandelier and sitting... We had a group of four that had "guaranteed" rooms. When we went to check in, they had overbooked so we were being "walked". Too bad every other hotel was booked and I'm still sitting their lobby 1.5 hours later (2am!) with no room. The kicker is that they called us earlier in the day to confirm our arrival.

My partner and I stayed in the Peery hotel for 5 nights in February. We couldn't wait to leave and would have left early had we not paid for the entire stay prior to arriving. Firstly, the elevator was tiny and slow making the trip to your room with suitcases difficult. The room was really outdated with a box tv,... More

Vintage hotel. First appearance is quite charming and it has lovely curb appeal. Reception area and lobby is very lovely and welcoming. Lobby is very roomy and greets guests with iced lemon water and apples for those checking in. Rooms had very nice decor & comfy beds. However the bathroom door was very near to an armoire holding the TV... More

We stayed at the Peery for just one night before leaving for Zion in the morning. I was expecting the worst after reading many mixed reviews, but was pleasantly surprised to find a beautiful old hotel in a great location. Our room was very small but exceptionally clean, with an exceedingly comfortable bed. There was ample parking on the street... More

We wanted to stay in downtown area as we had great experience living in downtown of San Diego. Downtown of SLC was somewhat quiet and less happening. Feb is usually cold in SLC. However, this year it was hot and I had tough time sleeping as it was too hot inside the small rooms. Pros - Conveniently located - Rental... More
