this was my fourth trip to this hotel, and the first with friends instead of my spouse, so we rented the family suite instead of one room. accomodations are comfortable if unspectacular, and the suite includes a private single within the space with 2 doubles in the main room. a small kitchenette w/microwave and fridge made this the perfect man/ski... If you would like a modest hotel that provides a simple, pleasant experience, this is a good choice. Clean, well-stocked room (even plates and silverware). Nice wood cabinets gave a homey feel. The queen-sized bed was good. There was a small kitchenette and a round wooden table. The location is good. The staff was friendly and helpful. Shuttle service to... More

Stayed 1 night in May 2011, on the basis of T/A reviews and were not surprised or disappointed. Basic, but quiet clean, spacious room, excellent location, very good breakfast. Free parking in the middle of town as well! More

Beautiful location, charming pension, modest and old, the Hampton it ain't! Good value with many extras- free hotel shuttle which also hits some downtown locations . Exercise room. Underground parking. Free wi-fi. Full English breakfast made to order. Caution: easy to do low -carb if you don't succumb- the pancakes are as big as frisbees! Expect older furnishings and some... I've been staying in national parks for the last ten days so after reading the Tripadvisor reviews of this hotel I was expecting a solid hotel visit that would be a welcome change from the cabins we've stayed in. I was wrong. Check in folks were fairly friendly, but the service we received at breakfast was a hair short of... More

I've been on the road since 1967 traveling for business and pleasure and it isn't often you find a gem. No pool, no fancy restaurant. So what's the attraction? Clean, neat, friendly. They will pick you up at the airport and do whatever they need to to help make your stay enjoyable. The breakfasts are great and made to order.... More

We wanted to stay in a place at walking distance to Temple Square, and the Carlton fit the bill perfectly. It is nothing fancy but a little, tidy hotel that looked as if it were family run. Moderate price that included a great made-to-order breakfast. We got a large room with kitchnette (not necessary for us, anyway) on the first... More

Initial impression at check in was very good. However, once we got to the room, our impression was another. The room was beat up and dirty. There were disgusting stains and burn holes on everything – the rug, the walls, the linen… The toilet looked like it had overflowed, and there was dried feces around it. We called the front... More

We stayed 4 nights at the Carlton which is a very centrally located hotel. Our room was large, well equipped and comfortable. The staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel shuttle wasn't available to collect us from the airport, so they paid for a taxi for us. The coin operated laundry is reasonably priced. There is a computer area in... More
