Clean and tidy rooms. Just a short walk to the free city trains. Pool was nice but spa wasn't working. Outside area could be cleaned up a little. They have a guest washing machine and dryer which was handy for us as we had been on the road for 4 days. I was not happy with the breakfast. No yoghurt,... More

This isn't the fanciest hotel. But for the money it was a great stay. The bed was comfortable and the location was perfect. The room was clean and the shower was hot. Decent breakfast. Again it is the bang for the buck you are getting. And the location was perfect for my back and forth to the Salt Lake City... More

If your looking for an inexpensive place to sleep in downtown SLC, the Metropolitan Inn is a great choice. The outside is old looking and needs to be spruced up. The rooms are very small, but my room was about the cleanest motel room I've ever seen. Everything including the window blinds were spotless. The bed was very comfortable and... More

clean rooms, comfy tempurpedic mattresses, inexpensive, close to everything in SLC. parking lot is small, so park early for the night. ignore the appearance of old elevators and connecting balconies - once you pass through them, the rooms are actually quite nice

Compared to the slightly dirty and ugly exterior, entering the room was like walking through a portal. Really nice and clean room. I usually don't like the motel style because the rooms get smoky inside too easily, but no problems with smoke inside or outside here. The rooms are pretty small, but I see that as a good thing because... More

Loved our stay at this Hotel after a marginal experience at a higher rated (3 star) hotel down the road. Beds - obviously amazing as other reviews and the hotel state. Relatively small room with large clean bathroom with huge mirror, complimentary coffee etc, everything you would expect - we made use of the pool as well. Breakfast was great... More

We stopped overnight while on our way to Yellowstone. Hotel close to the freeway, easy to find, close to restaurants etc. Bed was extra comfortable! decent and filling continental breakfast. Very friendly staff. Hotel located about 9 blocks from Temple Square so we spend 2 1/2 hours walking amoung the gardens and checking out the sights--Only drawback is that the... More

After reading other reviews I decided to try this motel. The beds were about the only good thing going for this motel. This place is very old and needs major updates, the chairs had ugly stains on them and bathroom very outdated. You could hardly turn off the bathroom sink faucet unless you pounded on it. The elevator was disgusting... More

Much better than I expected for a two star hotel! The rooms are clean, updated, and the beds...Tempurpedic mattresses and we slept so well! Easy to get to the train, and for the money, it's perfect. I wish there were more accessible outlets, and the bathroom could be a bit more updated-although it was very clean, and plenty of towels.... More

My husband and I spent the night here on our road trip to Seattle. The staff was super nice. From helping us pull our truck in to giving us directions and tips for our day in the city, they really showed us hospitality isn't only for the south. The walls were a little thin and we could here the people... More
