I always am amused by people who criticise Motel 6s for being shabby or plain. Their speciality is CHEAP. SLC is an expensive town for hotels, and this motel, nicely located between the airport and temple square, is a genuine bargain, having clean and comfortable, if somewhat shabby rooms. OK, is it right next to a crowded freeway, and noisy... more

We needed a room for 1 night, before catching the flight in the afternoon next day. For $45.99+tax for 2 persons, it was a good deal. Couple of fast food places like Wendy's, Burger King nearby. A gas station nearby, in case you have to fill gas before returning your car rental. Especially the Fox Rental Car location for Salt... more

This was a pretty bad motel. There were a lot of empty rooms, but they put us next to and underneath party people. There was a connecting door to the next room and you could hear every word the neighbors said and see their feet in the light below the door. We stuffed a towel under it and left the... more

Don't do it. I wouldn't return here. There are other Motel 6s in SLC which are much nicer. I'm a fan of Motel 6, but I would tell people to stay away from this motel. First, the location wasn't good. Although very close to the SLC airport, it is adjacent to I-215 (= noise). My first impression getting to the... more

We were passing thru SLC on our way back to California and had planned to stay at the Days Inn just down the street but they didn't have any pet rooms available when we got there. This Motel 6 was pretty average. Room seemed pretty clean. Heater worked well. Had to ask for additional large towels (there were only 2... more

i agree that this motel 6 has smaller rooms and less friendly check-in staff than other motel 6s. i've stayed in many motel 6s in many states and like them alot for price and a basic, clean motel room. but this motel 6 is different. the front desk clerk was rude when i asked for a different room. the motel... more

The room was the size of a postage stamp. We were given a handicapp room so the bathroom was huge and the room was tiny. I think I have a bathroom at home that was bigger. The two full beds were tight to the wall on one side and the air conditioner on the other. There was room in between... more

We were tired and didn't care too much where we slept, but the Motel 6 in Salt Lake could make a few minor changes to improve. First it had a musty smell to me, although my friend didnt seem to notice it. It said it was a smoke free room, but it smelled like it had been smoked in, in... more
