Rating probably gets cut down because there is no free WiFi in the rooms. Free available only in the lobby area. Of course, you can pay for room WiFi. Shouldn't need to these days. Business people should get it as part of the daily rate. Parking is an additional fee. :-( Did not eat in any of the restaurants, so... More

GreggL 14, We appreciate your business and comments. I am a little confused about your internet experience because we do offer free basic internet in all of our guestrooms and have since we opened in 2000. I am sorry if we did not clarify this option during your arrival experience. If I may be of further assistance or answer any... More

The hotel is nice, but I had a very unpleasant experience because they lost a bag with medications of mine when cleaning my room the last day BEFORE my checkout. I didn't realise until I got to my next destination, which was just a few miles away from the hotel (Park City). I called the hotel and they told me... More

Churi J, I am sorry for the confusion with your medication. The associate who took your initial call did not carefully review the name and room number for the lost and found item that was turned in. Unfortunately, another guest had left behind some medication the same day and when reviewing the prescription names the items clearly belonged to another... More

We loved our stay at the Marriott Salt Lake City Center. The hotel was clean. The staff was personable and attentive. It is an ideal location for shopping at City Creek, restaurants, and the Broadway (artsy) movie theater. The Gallivan Center complete with an outdoor ice rink is located directly behind the hotel. We loved this hotel!

I'll summarize my review in my first sentence: The Marriott Salt Lake City Center is the best hotel I've ever stayed in. From the friendly greeting when you first come in the door, the cleanliness, the peacefulness, and the food I've not been to its equal. And I've stayed a number of places ranging from relatively high end (Fairmont Chicago,... More

We stayed for three nights in room 828, which overlooked the outdoor skating rink below. The room was clean and the was plenty of space in the bathroom for toiletries. A coffee pot was hidden under the TV. The breakfast buffet was nice with oatmeal, eggs, fruit, and a variety of breads at a very reasonable cost for a downtown... More

We spent a couple nights at this Marriott for a convention we were attending in Salt Lake City. It's a really nice hotel and in a great location. The light rail is only a block from the doors with an easy free stop at Temple Square or a direct route to the airport. We loved the club and the facilities... More

The swimming pool and hottub was one of the cleanest and nicest I have seen. The pool is only 4.5 feet, but consistently clean and nice when I stayed there for a week. I love the special touches - a fireplace in the lobby and petrified wood tree slices as displays. The internet in the lobby is free and works... More

This hotel is pretty nice. The lobby was beautiful and the rooms were nice and clean. There was an adorable ice skating rink in the courtyard when we stayed there in January. The only thing I didn't enjoy was the staff at the front desk. At check in the young lady who checked me in wasn't helpful at all. I... More

Jessica, I am sorry to hear about your experience with our front desk associates. We should have done a better job welcoming you to our hotel and explaining the amenities and services. It sounds like there still may be some confusion with your bill. If you wouldn’t mind contacting me so I could get more information, I would be happy... More

Salt Lake City has two downtown Marriott Hotels. City Creek is located across the street from the Salt Palace Convention Center and City Center is about two SLC blocks away. It's a well maintained, older hotel with friendly staff in all areas. The restaurant is nice and has a separate bar. The morning buffet is good. The evening menu is... More

I was here attending a conference - and was impressed before I even arrived. Thanks to Trip Advisor I was able to post a question regarding a refrigerator - Tyson, who works at the hotel not only answered my question but ensured I had a room that could accommodate me. Men stop reading now and go to 2nd paragraph.... As... More
