My fiancée booked a trip to Salt Lake before the holidays to just getaway and relax for the weekend. We arrived at the hotel to check in. Prior to our arrival we discussed with an individual that only half of our room deposit would be available at the time we checked in. Then the next morning I would be able... More

We stayed here as part of a tour and found the location excellent. Close to Temple Square and City Creek Centre. The staff were welcoming and helpful. The room was clean and comfortable with a good view out to the distant mountains. We slept well and were not disturbed. We ate in the main restaurant, it was very quiet but... More

I needed a warm comfortable place to stay on my trip to SLC and this was exactly what i would expect from a Marriott. The Valets were friendly, the front desk staff was helpful and the room was great, All with the amazing Marriott Bed. I think what I liked the most was where most hotels would have a pool,... More

Stayed here in October for a 4 night business stay. This was my first time in a Marriott in a very long time. It was completely fine for what I needed. The room was clean (most importantly), but dated, the common areas were well taken care of, and the staff at the desk were friendly upon check in and check... More

The best thing about this hotel is its location. It's right in downtown and you can walk to shopping, restaurants and Temple Square. The staff is helpful and nice. Decor is dated and the entrance from the parking garage is a little scummy. The gym and pool are nice, but get very crowded on weekday mornings. Also, the lounge is... More

All of the staff that I met were impressive, from the valet parkers to the front desk staff to housekeeping! But the room was fairly small, and a bit smelly, and the walls are thin (thanks to the coughing guy in the next room). The bathroom is large and nice. Except for the flat panel TV, this room is stuck... More

Kgems1, I appreciate the time you took to review our hotel and for the positive recognition of our associates. I am sorry you were not impressed with our rooms. We have had several updates in our guestrooms since we opened, in December of 2000, including changing carpet, furniture, TV’s and beds. While we do not have any immediate plans for... More

Very clean, very helpful and polite staff. This property was near everything. Didn't need a car! So much to do and very good restaurants within easy walking distance. The room service was affordable, food well made, and prompt! Would definatly stay here again.

This Marriott is a great location to visit Temple Square and the other Mormon museums. Great service, food, and friendly workers. Near public transportation and easy to get around. A great experience in downtown Salt Lake City. Will stay there again.

Like so many of the other reviews, I was expecting better, given that Marriott might as well own the business/ higher end traveler market in Salt Lake City. Obviously they have taken the market advantage for granted and aren't really looking to improve. The service in the Club Lounge the first morning we were there was terrible. It was quite... More

BranNewareAtl, Thank you for taking your time to review our hotel. I am sorry we did not live up to your expectations and for the poor service you received. Our concierge lounge is generally busy in the mornings and we have two attendants working on most days. I am surprised to read about your experience because our concierge attendants usually... More

Upon entering the hotel and noting the many 4 AAA Diamond plaques hanging on the wall in the lobby we had our expectations raised expecting Four Diamond hospitality and service. Later when looking at our AAA tour guide we noted that the hotel is now rated 3 Diamonds by the AAA. Front desk was efficient in checking us in and... More
