We will stay there again. It is not a luxury hotel, more like HI Express (which we like). Reasonably priced, with very pleasant, young student staffers. Very well maintained, quiet place. Edge of town, but that only means a couple of miles to downtown, with the TRAX leaving from nearby several times per hour if you don't bring a car.... More

We stayed here one night on two consecutive weeks. My husband accidentally left a computer bag and they found it, saved it and returned it to us on our second night. The breakfast was healthy. The attitudes were cheery. Nothing glamorous, totally efficient. Plus a decent plus gym. Perfect for the traveling patient at the near by Medical Center.

OK for anyone needing to be on or near the U of U campus, but can't quite escape its institutional roots. Originally housing for 2002 Winter Olympic athletes, and still has feel of a college dorm. No restaurant or pool. Furniture, bedding, amenities, and soft goods in room quite nice, but flooring is carpet squares; ours were worn, dirty, and... More

Ziggyfly, Thank you for your comments. The University Guest House was built as a hotel in 1999. We did house a few athletes during the 2002 Winter Olympics, however, the building was not built for this purpose. I apologize that your room has worn carpet. We are currently in the process of upgrading/replacing the carpet in all of our rooms.... More

The room was clean and cozy. WiFi and all connections were available. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Especialy the bell captains who took me to and from the hospiital several times a day.Healthy snacks were available from their small store as well as the traditional items. I enjoyed the hot breakfast and the fresh fruit every morning. For... More

Great staff and excellent rooms, amenities and lobby. Our visit involved a medical visit to a local Univ of Utah orthopaedic clinic for our daughter and the clinic and hospital were minutes away...perfect location and gorgeous setting.

We greatly appreciated the friendly staff. The room was clean and pleasant. The atmosphere was quiet which really helped me rest after surgery. The breakfast selection was well suited for various dietary needs. This ended up being closer to the hospital than we anticipated and easy to get to from the hospital, which was a great relief since we were... More

We had appointments at the Huntsman Cancer Hospital so chose this hotel because of the location. The front desk staff was wonderful; very friendly and helpful. The rooms are very clean and comfortable with a small refrigerator, microwave and Keurig coffee maker. The breakfast is very nice. We booked 5 nights because we didn't know how long we would have... I had a wonderful stay in a clean and well equipted room with an awesome view! Lots of space in the eating area, good healthy food, plenty of sunday morning newspapers, liquids available all hours, and extremely welcoming staff.

I had a reunion of friends in Salt Lake the end of June so in in April and May I researched places to stay. The reviews from the Guest House let me know that I wanted a third floor room for the quiet and that the rooms on the corners had the best views. So I called and made my... More

We were on a College Campus Tour of the West and this was by far the nicest room we stayed in! We got in late as we were traveling from Wyoming and we were very hungry. But, no problem! They had a lot of quick micro way dinners right by the front desk! No need to go out and look... More
