I was in town for 6 nights, 3 nights for business and then extended my trip to stay for fun. For the first 3 nights, I was in a regular queen room. It was fine - cute/cozy and not too small but I think if there were 2 people in there, it would have seemed cramped. (Though I have stayed... More

This hotel was perfect for us on an overnight stay before starting our road trip. The hotel is centrally located so easy to walk around Salt Lake City. I see people complain about the size of the rooms - we had two double beds and a roll-away in the room and it was fine - beds comfy and decor lovely... More

I have never given ANY hotel only one star. However, this one deserves it. I live in Salt Lake. I stay here every now and then when I there's an event in town, and I don't want to drive home. In this case, My husband and I planned a much needed "stay-vacation" from the kido. Something we RARELY do. We... More

I have great respect for the Kimpton Brand and the various properties I have visited as an Inner Circle member. Sadly, this stay has not fallen in that category. Valet and Bell staff definitely have their act together, and the property itself is interesting as a former bank building (circa 1924), but the number and type of "simple misses" by... More

The location is good but that's all I can say that is good about this hotel when I pulled in I did not want to valet my car so I self parked. The self parking charges you every time you come and go and is around 20 bucks a night the valet was $24 a night but there is no... More

Hotel Monaco is centrally located and a good starting point for walking around. There appear to be numerous dining and drinking establishments within stumble distance. Points for that. The room was also very clean, nicely decorated, firm beds, good toiletries; not a large room, but expected for a central location. The gentleman at the front desk was charming and helpful.... More

Other than the smallish rooms and limited dining on site, this was a great stay. The rooms really are small. You must put the desk chair all the way under the desk or risk tripping over it if you go to the bathroom in the night. The honor bar takes up an inordinate amount of space in the chest of... More

We've stayed at a number of Kimpton properties and have always had a good experience. So we were totally unprepared for our experience in Salt Lake. It started with the valet who may no effort to help us with our bags. It continued with the rude desk clerk who checked us in. Then there was the awful waiter at the... More

Stayed at the Hotel Monaco for three nights on a recent stay in Salt Lake City. Overall, we were very happy with our stay. The hotel is very upscale, and our room was amazing. We had a suite with a king bed and a separate sitting area. There were two tvs in the room - one in the bed area... More

A very nice boutique hotel! We stayed one night. Love the location downtown! Right across from the capital theater. Small room (which is all we need) with a very comfortable king bed. Slept like a rock! Quiet in the morning too. All staff is friendly! Love the valet but the 22$ parking overnight seems a bit steep. Very cool that... More
