Hard to imagine this is a Courtyard by Marriott. I was quite old and could have passed for a Ramada. The neighborhood was questionable. The included hot breakfast was a poor, and don't try to order an omelette from the cook, it's not included. Got an $88/night rate, including breakfast for two, and it was an amazing deal in downtown SLC! Our favorite downtown hotel was booked solid, so we settled for the Courtyard, which did offer a good price with a AAA discount. There is free parking, which is a very nice perk as you are able to walk just a couple of blocks to excellent restaurants. The room itself wasn't well sound-proofed. The problem is that they will not refund the money for the cancelled reservation at the tune of $942.32 still on my credit card. I contacted the BBB, but could not come to a resolution. Stayed here for 4 nights May 13-16. Room was very clean and everything looked new. The buffet breakfast was very nice. Location is walking distance to most everything downtown. The front desk staff, restaurant staff, and shuttle drivers were all very friendly. In fact, everyone in Salt Lake seems to be friendly. I would stay here again. more

attended convention in SLC. stayed at this Courtyard. Only ok. Next time I would stay at a more expensive hotel across from the convention center. Basic place .. but they did have cookies every afternoon!! that was nice. But I would not return. more

My husband and I stayed here the end of April, 2004 and found it a very nice motel. Our initial outward impression was a bit disappointing- not dilapidated or anything, just not overly impressive. We stayed there September 2002. It was very clean with spacious rooms and basic accomadations. No more, no less. Breakfast was not up to Courtyard standards. Ok if you are passing through but don't spend an entire holiday there. more
