I had ten days with no responsibilities. Just to be, to explore, and to find some sense of calm outside the hustle and bustle of my busy life. I chose Domaine Madeleine for a perfect getaway, and I wasn’t disappointed. Domaine Madeleine is a nice establishment, but it isn’t so nice that it feels as though it only caters to the ultra wealthy. All amenities one could hope for, and more were provided for. I particularly enjoyed the common room with extra toiletries, snacks and just about anything you could easily forget to pack, yet they provided for their guests. The grounds are stunning! With a full-time gardener on staff, you can really tell they have a love for plants and flowers. But what was the most unique which stuck out above all else was a detail I fell in love with and would keep me coming back was the fact that the owners took the zen/spa life approach to the next level with their gorgeous zen gardens. There is a coy pond, secret private nooks for meditation escapes (my favorite part!), amazing plants and flowers, and towering trees, which had an almost Japanese garden inspired. Near the coastal side of the property, there’s a big covered bed which is well worth a good book and a lie down. The views are lovely, and on a crisp warm day, there’s nothing better than laying out, staring up at the clouds coming in off the water, and simply meditating to the rhythm of the surf. Domaine Madeleine can be found surrounded by beautiful fields of lavender and other cultivations, and when you turn down their private drive, you’re met with a dazzling array of colorful wildflowers. When arriving, you get the feeling that you’re in a private escape, which is further solidified by the fact that each room has it’s own outside entrance and parking spot. My room had a king bed, huge tub, tv, sitting area inside and out, and a private bath. I never once felt like I was being intruded on by other guests as I thoroughly enjoyed the private, secret getaway style feel that was provided there for me. It was wonderful. I felt my years of built up stress wash away with my time there over the first few days and when it was my time to head south for my next accommodation, I was sad to say goodbye and remember thinking I wished I could have stayed much longer.

We're so glad you were able to enjoy your stay at our inn. Trevor Morrow Travel said we're the "perfect place to hideaway from the world". We're thrilled to see that his assessment was honest and true, and that you felt the same during your stay here. 😉 We hope to welcome again next time you're looking for the perfect escape from the hectic demands life throws at you sometimes.

Highly recommended for PNW visitors. The amenities and grounds are amazing. The hosts also provide great suggestions for walks, hikes, scenery, winery's, and much more. The nearby town of Sequim is known for its lavender farms and being in a rain shadow which makes for relatively drier weather.

We stayed here for a brief stop while visiting Olympic. The grounds are well maintained with several unique touches. The views were amazing! It was the perfect place to relax after a day of hiking and driving! The grab and go section was well stocked with snacks as well as adult beverages 😎

We chose Domaine Madeleine for it's location. We wanted easy access to Olympic National Park and a variety of nicer restaurants. We were very pleased with the location, but the property exceeded our expectations on all dimensions! The bathrooms have upgraded showers, "smart" toilets, and luxury amenities. The rooms range from spectacular to very comfortable, the grounds are stunning, and the beds are luxurious. After seeking the nicer restaurants our group of 3 couples decided to bring food into the inn and dine at the dining table in the lobby for 2 of our 3 nights. In all of my travels I am hard pressed to identify a room nicer than the Hoh Rainforest Suite!

Everything about this place is so special. It starts when you press the button to open the property gates (so cute, btw!) and drive through the spectacular gardens. I booked the Hurricane Ridge suite which was wonderfully spacious. The attention to detail is evident throughout and the customer service by text was great. I was lucky enough to stay here in early July. The flowers were amazing and the views jaw-droppingly beautiful. I used DM as a base for exploring The Olympic National Park and there are helpful suggestions for day trips on the DM app. It's a large park and there is so much to see, but how nice to come back to this beautiful retreat and have a nice soak in the jetted tub.

We absolutely loved our stay at Domaine Madeleine! We stayed in the Hoh Rainforest suite and the panoramic view from our room of the ocean was fabulous and very serene. It’s very quiet and relaxing. The room is very large and has a sitting area, living room area and large bedroom and good size bathroom. Covid protocols require signing up for breakfast ahead and we always missed the deadline but found several coffee shops in Sequim - very cute town within 10 miles. We used the Inn to go to Hurricane Ridge Trail and to the Dungeness Spit Trail. Not far from Port Angeles, we ate downtown one night but really loved our two afternoons at Harbinger Winery. A wonderfully peaceful retreat after all our hikes!

Our stay at the Rialto cottage was great. We stayed two days the room was great with magnificent views of the lawn and water. Extra points to the hotel for helping us with toothpaste!! We forgot to pack it. I would have rated 5* but there were two things that little bit dented the experience. One was the jetted tub, it had some chipped off portion which was discolored and was not a good look. The second one was the absence of moisturizer in the bathroom toiletries. Usually soap, shampoo, conditioner and moisturizer form the bathroom toiletries and I was surprised that it was not provided. I reached out to to the front desk and they poured me some moisturizer in a cup. They mentioned that due to covid they have stopped providing the one time use bottles.

Chris and Steven were wonderful hosts - attentive and immediately responsive to any questions. I stayed in the Lake Crescent Suite and the Rialto Beach Cottage - both were exceptional in their own way and I would highly recommend either of these fabulous accomodations. I am looking forward to trying another of the suites or cottages. This is truly a special place!

Suffice to say that our second visit was as good as--perhaps even better than--our first. And we can't wait for our third; or should I just call it our "next" stay. Everything is done so well. It's luxurious, but tastefully understated. Domaine Madeleine is beautiful, quiet, peaceful and clean. We've stayed in both the Rialto Beach Cottage and the Lake Crescent Suite; both offer privacy and nice views across the grounds to the Strait of Juan de Fuca. Our only complaint with our recent stay is that we couldn't go snowshoeing as planned at Hurricane Ridge: there were deep drifts, whiteout conditions and 50 mph wind gusts. We certainly can't blame that on Domaine Madeleine ... and there is always a "next" stay ...!

Very well appointed cottage with all the amenities you could want. We stayed in the Rialto Beach. Beautiful views, jacuzzi tub was perfect after a day of hiking, private location (hardly ever saw anyone), room was so cozy and comfortable. So convenient to lots of things to do...or perfect if you want to just chill and unwind!! Would have loved to stay longer.
