My fiancé and I stayed here after reading so many positive reviews on Tripadvisor. The building does look kinda sketchy when you first see it, though not as much so as some of the other motels in the area. We were asked if we preferred soft or firm beds and were given a room upstairs "away from the smokers." The... More

This is a great Motel for a night stop over. Looks just like the TA picture shown. The staff is very friendly and will help you with any questions you have about the area. The rooms are big and clean, older in style. The breakfast is simple muffin, coffee, tea continental. Price is great. Very close to ferry, about 2... More

I booked this place by phone a few weeks out and I'm glad I did as they were full when we got there. The reservation was based on reviews from TA as are most of my reservations. I had a great visit upon check-in with the owner as well as a great departure with bottles of water both times and... More

Family of four staying overnight to catch the early ferry to Victoria the next day. The gentlemen checking us in noticed my scarf had fallen out of the car and pointed it out to me when I entered the office- very kind. He noted we were a family and offered a room with two separate sleeping areas, which was great.... More

Frankly, we looked for an inexpensive hotel. The Canadian dollar had plunged recently and life on the roads in hotels was expensive. We generally stay in Best Westerns and sometimes Ramada Inns and judge our hotel stay roughly in this order: quietness, sleep quality, cleanliness of the room, hotel reception, wifi availability and distance from restaurants and other amenities. The... More

I rely a lot on Trip Advisor and am usually successful. When we pulled up to the motel I started to be worried. My family thought I was nuts. Wrong!!! When was the last time the owner showed you the available rooms and let you pick to be sure the road noise was not a problem? For the same price... More

It's one of the less expensive motels in Port Angeles. Away from the busy streets. Room is pretty basic and clean. No breakfast or coffee served. Just a place for rest and rejuvenate before heading the road again.

The facility was very clean and the prices very reasonable. I would definitely recommend this property. I was skeptical due to bad experiences with other motels but it was refreshing to find a motel like this one.

This is a great little motel. The rooms were clean and management was extremely friendly and gave me maps and tips on where to hike and sight see. The beds were comfortable and the rates were very affordable. Hot water was off for about an hour one night, but otherwise no issues.

The Royal Victorian is basic, friendly, clean and cheap. If you just want a place to spend the night in Port Angeles, like before or after taking the Coho Victoria ferry, this is a great option. My reservation was taken over the phone rather than on-line, and this worked quickly and efficiency. The building is dated but well-maintained. The staff... More
