I stayed here for one night but was impressed by the friendly staff and cleanliness. I will say I was a tiny bit taken aback by the provision of Christian literature - books and print outs about saving my soul and so on, not just the customary bible. Clearly the owners are serious about their faith and want to take... more

My husband and I stayed at the Royal Victorian for a few nights in Sept of 07 while visiting the Olympic Penninsula and BC. I'm usually not a fan of motels (outside entrance), but it received excellent reviews so we gave it a try. What a pleasant surprise! The staff was VERY VERY friendly and quite helpful when it came... more

Great Hotel in downtown Port Angeles centrally located to all the downtown shops and the ferry. Older but very well maintained exterior and interior. Some downtown hotels make you feel uncomfortable or not safe. You won't feel that at this hotel! Cassey and Ed go out of their way to make your stay as pleasant as possible. They take a... more

This is a small, independently-owned and operated two-story (that means hauling luggage up the stairs), outside entry motel on a busy street, so it was a bit noisy. The manager was highly attentive and offered a restaurant suggestion for dinner within walking distance which worked out fine. We had a clogged toilet and she promptly came to fix it when... more

We found the Royal Victorian serviceable for our needs. We just needed a base for a night, and they provided that. It seems like a nice family business run by discreet proselytizers. I thought it was a touch expensive but it looked like one of the better motels in town. The dog smell in the office was overpowering though. Tip:... more

I've stayed at this hotel a few times in the last couple of months and have always enjoyed my stay. The staff at the front desk is extremely friendly and they go out of their way to make sure my stay in Port Angeles is enjoyable. The only true negative I've encountered is the amount of road noise that can... more

I picked this hotel because of the good reviews, and this is the first time I have been really disappointed. I booked a room with 2 bedrooms, both which were tiny, more like one room with a wall put up inbetween. The room was fairly clean, but very dated, with old linens, stained carpet, and rock-hard beds. The bathroom had... more

Our room was spotlessly clean and very comfortable. We stayed in a very quiet corner room with no road noise, a fridge and micro. The continental breakfast was enough to keep us going for a while each day. The staff here were amazingly friendly and helpful. It's convenient and a good deal--we would stay again! more

The Royal Victorian doesn't look like much outside--just a small downtown hotel. However, the rooms are clean, well maintained, and very comfortable--and more affordable than most in Port Angeles. Casey and the rest of the staff look after their guests. There is some traffic noise but that seems to be true of most places near the riverfront and ferries. more
