I needed to stay in Port Angeles for a week for a photography workshop, and wanted something low-cost, walking distance to restaurants, and with a little kitchen so I could make breakfast (photo workshops start early, often before restaurants open). I reserevd a room with private bath and kitchen. I wasn't expecting much for the price, and when I first... More

We stayed 2-nights in this ultra clean hotel, in a shared bathroom room and were very satisfied, especially for the room rate of $45 per. The shared bathrooms were no problem, especially considering that the owner keeps them totally spotless. You are within walking distance of the ferry to Victoria and driving distance of one of the most panaramic mountain... More

The Downtown Hotel is VERY clean and well-maintained. We enjoyed our night there and will definitely go back. AND, it's very inexpensive. A great find!

Highly Recomend! We were staying in Port Angeles for three days and two nights and were looking for something affordable. Found this hotel online, and decided to give it a shot. I was a little worried when we pulled up (it REALLY doesn't look like the front of a typical hotel), but was pleasantly suprised when we checked in. We... More

We were a group of four women looking for inexpensive for one night as we passed through Port Angeles. Convenience and cleanliness were our first concerns, and the Downtown Hotel in Port Angeles came through with flying colors. It was very quiet and clean. We liked the wide doors and halls, and the general brightness in the units. The price... More

We were looking to avoid the Howard Johnson/impersonal hotel scene, and this hotel perfectly fit the bill. For $55 USD/night, we had a large room with a very comfortable queen bed, TV, wardrobe, desk/chair, etc. There was also an in room sink/mirror, which is a great difference from similar style hotels I've stayed in while in Europe. Everything was clean... More

We paid $75 for a room with a private bath, but the room lacked useful furniture such as a table & chairs. The worst flaw is the translucent blinds covering the windows - they're completely ineffectual at blocking light. Not a good thing on a summer morning. Also, there's no A/C, so beware in hot climates - I woke up... More

After staying here four times in the last year on business, I read some trip adviser reviews and thought, "Huh?" In my experience, apart from the cleanliness of of the rooms, the most notable characteristic of the place is it's nearly tomb-like silence, especially in the rooms the desk clerk calls the "quiet side" of the building. I've stayed in... More

Although the amenities of this hotel were nice, clean, and even quaint, the service was deplorable and inexcusable. The party being hosted by the teenage manager-on-duty was loud and obnoxious until very late into the night. I felt I was back in college living in the dorms, instead of a paying guest in what was supposed to be hotel. At... More

The Downtown Hotel has clean rooms, but the location is horrible. The hotel is located on a main road (there was also a stop light outside our room window) and the noise kept us awake ALL NIGHT. There is no air-conditioning so we had the windows open during the day, and had to speak over the traffic noise. At night,... More
