I am staying here right now for one night before taking the ferry over to Victoria. Staff is super friendly. Just when I had finally found the parking lot, Tim was about to leave and get in his car, saw me at my car and came over. He said that Jill is the night manager and I should check in... More

What a fabulous place to stay for the night and in the morning wake up, go downstairs get yourself some coffee and donuts and walk half a block to the ferry for a trip to Victoria. My husband and I stayed here last year and without a doubt we knew we would be staying here for the night. Clean, friendly... More

Clean and quiet, and with helpful staff. The perfect place for an overnight stay, or for a base while exploring the Olympic Peninsula. It's a old hotel with wide hallways and high ceilings, and completely modernized into a clean, simple and convenient hotel. My wife says, "No problem." about the shared bathrooms/showers down the hall. We'll be back.

We were in Port Angeles for only one night, and stayed at the Downtown Hotel because of its convenient location and reasonable prices. We were very happy with our room. It was at the back of the hotel, so very quiet. There was a sink in the room, but the showers and toilets were down the hall. Since there were... More

This is a basic euro-style hotel with shared bathroom facilities. The bathrooms were very clean, beds comfortable, hotel located conveniently close to the Blackball Ferry Line to Victoria. Room itself was very basic, old TV, nothing fancy, but unfortunately very dirty carpets. Our socks were black within a few minutes. Wood floors or updated, clean carpets are my only suggestion... We spent a week here at the Downtown hotel while exploring Olympic National Park. It is a quaint euro style hotel with reasonable prices. Most bathrooms are private but located in the hall. A few rooms have private bathrooms in the room. Rooms were clean and comfortable with a sink in the room. We did notice that some days our... More

I reserved a room at the Downtown Hotel after talking to friends who had stayed there. I was cycling through and just needed a decent place at a reasonable price. I found the manager very friendly and helpful, offering to let me keep my bike in my room. Even though I took a small standard room there was plenty of... More

It took my wife awhile to warm up to a hotel with a shared bath and thankfully, it was a good experience. The beds were comfortable and the room quiet. My only complaint was that the rooms, with no A/C, really needs a fan. We would definitely stay there again!

We have stayed at this hotel twice while in bicycle trips through the area. First, the owner is an avid biker and very welcoming to cyclist, allowing us to take our bike to our room, or in an ample storage area with his many bikes. However, have to be willing to carry them up stairs. The rooms are large, and... More

We really enjoyed our two night stay at the Downtown Hotel, perfectly situated from the waterfront and a couple of nice restaurants. Our room was spotless. The bed was comfortable and the entire place bright and airy. An old building like this can be dark and institutional, but not here, as they have added skylights that really add a lot... More
