To get these excellent views of the harbor, strait and the shipping traffic get the 3rd floor rooms facing the harbor. I would think children would love this and adults would love the sunrise coming up near Mt. Baker on clear days. Close enough to walk to downtown PA or take the MV Coho to Victoria for a day trip... After reading some of the less-complimentary reviews, I wanted to add a positive voice to the discussion. The Port Angeles Inn is a little older property, but older isn't necessarily bad. The climate in Port Angeles doesn't really require A/C. As a result the motels don't have it. But with the windows open and a fan, it was plenty comfortable... More

Port Angeles has much to offer - a beautiful setting with the mountains and the ocean, a great waterfront walk, great public art, a natural foods market, a vintage variety store, good access to Olympic National Park and to Victoria by ferry. Our room was adequate at the inn. There was new carpeting and new granite countertop. The breakfast was... More

We stayed two nights here. We did not have a harbor room view and were on the bottom floor with a room that overlooked the parking lot. The beds were not very comfortable; they could use at least a pillow-top padding, and the pillows were the flattest I've ever seen in a hotel--every single one in the room. The room... More

My wife and I have stayed here twice now, and both times we've, enjoyed the stay. We usually request a 2nd or 3rd floor Harborview room. You'll find all the basic necessities, and a great place to rest after exploring. The only reason I can't rate excellent is, admittedly, the rooms could use a little updating, but they're extremely clean,... More

Other reviews refer to updated rooms. The first floor standard room we spent a night in was not updated; it looked like little had changed in the past 30 years. Very small room, a reading light only on one side of the bed; very thin towels. And at a price that caused me to expect something much better. The only... More

This inn isn't new, but we have never seen an older inn this well maintained or updated. Clearly the owners take pride in their inn. The staff is extremely friendly, the breakfast was simple but delightful with plenty of variety and the room was spotless. The bathroom had recently been remodeled and looked quite nice. We're definitely going back.

Walking distance to the harbor and ferry (take nearby stairs or walk around the block). The downtown harbor area has improved! Now with restaurants (all kinds), cool shops, antique stores and excellent Country Aire Natural Foods store (we stocked up for our beach trip). This place could be headquarters for a nice weekend getaway (and it's near a hiking trail).... More

Overlooking downtown with views to ocean and mountains. Rooms comfortable with most amenities. Good service. Close to ferry terminal .Breakfast basic - might want to have coffee outside. Will stay again.

This hotel is terrible. The mountain view rooms do not even have a window and there is no AC. When we got to the room in Sept 2014 it was uncomfortable at best. We were changed to a room with a window. But the old and dated room was still there. Fake flowers all over placed are just dust collectors.... More
