Each summer we visit the Olympic Peninsula and stay in this hotel. The location is perfect--close to various restaurants and shops in the town, a block away from the ferry to Canada, and right on the waterfront with gorgeous views from the restaurant and some rooms. The city waterfront trail goes right in front of the hotel and Hollywood Beach... More

The view was worth the stay. The front desk personnel were friendly and very helpful. Although the room was very good size, it was in need of updating and remodeling. Overall a good experience, The on site restaurant was very good in food quality and menu selection.

I can't get use to the terrible old smell in the room. Not even candles helps to buffer this stale stinking room. We had asked for ocean front for our 3 night stay but there was only 1 night available and was in the middle of our stay. I wished we could stay somewhere else our last 2 nights.

The Red lion hotel looks a little outdated from the outside but the room was clean and comfortable and most importantly(to me) was that the window A/C(and heat) unit was quiet and efficient. Cost per room came to $200,which a good portion was taxes. Location is very near the Sound and restaurants nearby were somewhat pricey. The breakfast buffet in... More

I feel that this Red Lion location does not meet normal Red Lion standards. We were placed in what amounted to an annex with no view of the water. Furthermore, portions of the parking lot where restricted to allow a fleet of trucks to park there. Many of the workers manning those vehicles had their own, oversize vehicles which crowded... More

If you travel enough, you'll find that sometimes, inevitably, that conditions aren't ideal upon arrival. In this case, we'd had the hotel staff adjust our reservations and between them and hotels.com, things got really messed up. However, when we asked Aaron, the hotel manager, help, he was nothing less than great--he got us reservations in the rooms with the ocean-side... More

The hotel itself is VERY old and needs a remodel desperately. No elevators in the hotel and all rooms hove some sort of stair case you either have to climb or descend. Beds were comfortable ,room was ok clean ( found a big ant bug thing on the bed YUCK ) No plug ends anywhere near the desk , the... More

I stayed here one night with the family prior to taking the ferry early the next day. The room was well appointed with two comfortable queen beds, clean, and met our needs for our night stay. There was no breakfast included with our stay, but we wanted to be close to the ferry for our 8:15am departure. It is literally... More

Red Lion was the best part of our 10 day trip. We traveled with our daughter and son in law, and stayed here July 11-13. We were a little concerned about the size for four adults, but the room was plenty large. We paid a little more for the seaside room and it was great. We had a little balcony... More

The Red Lion is a block from the Coho ferry terminal. I've wondered what the rooms are like from the times spent in Port Angeles. We went to Far West Beer Fest (July 2014) and reserved a premium ocean view room. The room was spacious and very clean. The decor may be a bit dated, but I think it works.... More
