Ask for waterfront room!!!!! It's an Average hotel, rooms smell like old smoke. I know the hotel tries to guarantee non smoking but cannot control the guests! Beds were a little soft, but linens were nice and two separate sinks in clean bathroom. Very good tv. Staff all friendly. Breakfast adequate but buffet eggs tasted reconstituted. Dining room dinner was... More

We stayed at thus property two years ago and rated it very high. The rooms had been renovated and the customer service (front desk and housekeeping) were great. Not so this time. Last weekend we stayed one night and were disappointed in the service and room. The clerk behind the counter was donee host non committal when it came to... More

We stayed in a "Premium King" room with a waterfront view. The room was spacious. The bed was comfortable. The room was clean. There was a plumbing maintenance issue with the tub that we reported. This is an expensive, very average room but with a lovely view. Enjoyed watching boat traffic, water fowl, and hearing the ferry horn blow. For... More

We arrived at 2 Pm. We were well past ready to check in. However we were told that we could not until 3 pm. At 3 Pm we returned to find out that the room was still not available. Back gain at 3:30 and it was still not ready. Finally I left my cell phone number and they called us... More

The staff is very friendly, but this hotel is old and the rooms still smell of stale smoke. We asked to change rooms because our original room had such a strong smell we were worried they would think we smoked in the room. The new room was clean, but it looked a little worn and old: The carpets were stained,... More

We had a water-view room and enjoyed it very much. The towels and linens were very good in our room. The room was refreshed every day with new towels, beds made, etc. The breakfasts left a bit to be desired, and we felt like they weren't expecting our large group (110 old Chevys) even though we had booked months in... I've stayed at several Red Lion properties, in fact it's one of my preferred hotel chains when traveling with the family due to its (normally) good price/quality ratio. In fact, I stayed at this one in Port Angeles a couple of years ago and found it good then - but not this time. First, I found the price pretty steep... More

I've stayed in a number of Red Lion hotels and generally they are very, very nice. This is not one of them. The location is fabulous and we splurged for a King "view" room. The room size was ample and it did have a view of the harbor. However, and this is probably my fault, the view faces north. Since... More

This place needs a remodel. Carpets are dingy, room was smelly. I agree the place is a bit rundown. They also need to stock the rooms w/ newer towels. I was in a room facing the parking lot and near the pool, so it was noisey until just about 10 pm or a little after. The breakfast buffet is terrible.
