As other reviewers have mentioned, getting to it is a merry game! Our sat nav stated "recalculating" a number of times so once we entered the strip mall its a quick left then right under the portico and down the other side, where they do have a few Priority Card parking slots which is handy for cardholders. A quick tip,... more

Interesting hotel- apparently it used to be a hospital, so some of the room design is a bit different. But I would say that it is a step above most holiday inn express around. I don't think there was a pool. Getting into the property is a bit wierd as some earlier stated, and the shopping center it is near... more

Didn't have reservations as we didn't know where we were going to stop on our way to Florida; checked in late about 11. I agree with commenter about strange entry and location. The check-in girl was nice enough but I had to ask about a AAA discount that got us $10 off. We got two queen beds. Very nice and... more

Check-in was fine. Upon entry to my room, I noticed that the air conditioning unit was on, but set to "low heat". I did not understand this since it was at least 85 degrees outside. There were more than a few stray hairs in the bathroom that did not belong to me. The front desk staff were friendly and the... more

The rooms were clean. The lobby and the interior of the hotel were nicely maintained. The breakfast was fine. Most all of the staff were friendly and helpful, but not all. The management was somewhat lackluster in their response to the one rude and very unhelpful staff member, which was disappointing but otherwise the stay was fine. It is in... more

This is located in an interesting place, an almost-empty shopping center. It has one of the strangest entry ways, requiring a car to weave around to get in front of the lobby. All that said, our stay was fine. We had no problems. We got in late (10p) and left early (7a). The king size bed was nice and firm.... more

My family and I stayed at the Holiday Inn Express on Riverside in Macon, Ga. this past July coming back from Florida vacation. Our problems started out as minor when we were not provided a roll-away for the 5th member of our family per our reservation. What followed was a series of lies from the night clerk, who was inept... more

Booked through the company website with my Priority Club membership number. Paid $80.00 weekend rate which was competitve based on rates for other comparable hotels in the area. Arrived late on Friday night and check-in was very quick. Was not recognized as a Priority Club member. The room was o.k. A hole in the wall had been patched but not... more

Paid $68 for a room at the HI Express in Macon and the room was clean, the staff was helpful, and the breakfast was great. Had a stopped up toilet and the maintenance man was very polite and helpful and resolved the issue immediately. The beds were not as comfortable as a higher-priced hotel, but for $68 I definetly got... more
