The best thing about Fatboys was the location, amazing snorkeling off the restaurant deck, and the views from the rooms and overwater restaurant. But there was so many more great things about the resort. Food was terrific, the restaurant location was perfect (over the water), the rooms were private and very comfortable, the staff were so obliging and friendly. All... More

What a delightful weeks holiday. Sensational seafood dinners mostly lobster, friendly, hospitable, intimate, picturesque, over the water bungalows, lovely and very helpful staff. I loved that the rooms had small refridgerators and tea/coffee making facilities. Snorkelling around Kennedy Island was a highlight. It was a lot of fun and very relaxing. Highly recommend Fatboys.

Unbelievably there are still a few resorts in the Pacific that have not been overrun by tourists. Fatboys is one of them. With its over-water lounge/dining area and barefoot drop-in bar you’d never call this tourist chic. And that’s the idea. Fatboys is more a way of life than a hotel or resort. We stayed here five days but were... More

The staff at Fatboys made our holiday amazing. The food was wonderful and fresh the Timothy the drink waiter went out of his way to make fantastic cocktails. Our bungalow was clean and always serviced. I loved the fact we could bring back a drink and put it in the fridge to have on our veranda overlooking the ocean whenever... More

Well placed resort - in the middle of all the dive sites (our reason for being there). We had a very nice bungalow on the beach - couldn't ask for better. Everyone is very nice and helpful. Downside?? the prices. Food and drink expensive - yes, we realize everything has to be imported or brought across, so, it's not really... More

A stalwart for accommodation in the Munda area, Fatboys remains one of the best options for a resort stay. The rooms are well fitted and feature comfy beds, mosquito nets, outdoor space and most of them have great views over the ocean. The restaurant serves lovely meals and of an evening is a great place to enjoy a beverage and... More

Fatbpys is a treasure, a one-off must-visit ... for people who will appreciate it. What you get at Fatboys is one of the most beautiful sites in the South Pacific, and a real window into local life. What you don’t get is a luxury experience with efficient service, modern conveniences, invisible staff, shiny bathrooms, lots of amenities; go to Fiji... More

My partner and I stayed at fatboys resort for 5 days in February. It truly is a piece of paradise, the whole experience felt surreal. From the moment we were picked up from the airport by friendly manager Mano and taken across tranquil crystal clear waters of the lagoon, we felt like we had stepped into paradise. Never has a... A wonderful setting as many places are in the Solomons, but its super super expensive for a drink or a nibble. unless you are a guest who can afford it, this place is too expensive for a regular visit. It is one of the better options in the area for sure, and im aware of the isssues of importing, taxes... More

This place is just postcard perfect. Surrounded by crystal clear water that is simply enchanting - the snorkelling (even around the jetty and restaurant) is amazing. The clarity is so good that even guests on the restaurant deck can enjoy the colourful fish below. We don't dive, but the divers we spoke to were excited about the wreck diving and... More
