Wonderfull experience, nice people, friendly staff, good accomodation level, the best in town for sure. The bar, restaurant, breakfast place is also to be recommanded. After a long day driving, the perfect place to stay 2 or 3 nights

This was a last minute booking, so we had no idea what to expect. However, we were pleasantly surprised at the accomodation, service as well as the location. It was bang on the main street, where all the restaurants and tourist centers were. Around it, is peaceful and has breathtaking views of the Glacier. The room itself was a cabin... More

We stayed at Rainforest Retreat in a camper-van, and the van sites are among the loveliest we stayed in on our trip, nestled among the rain forest trees. The reason for the 'average' rating is that I must agree with several negative reviews that the advertising is most misleading. This is not a luxury retreat with van and camping sites... More

Unless you are a backpacker- get a hut!!! Our room was directly across from the dorms, with the bar on the other side... Noisy!!! Nice enough room but it had a weird set-up: queen & single bed, couch (facing away from TV), no table but a tiny breakfast bar! Plus there was bright red hairs in the basin when we... More

This campsite is lovely. We stayed one night, and it was tropical and quiet and very central to the main village. The restaurant attached to the campsite had great food, and the house wines were only $5 each, which made for a lovely, relaxing evening as the sun went down late for daylight savings. I highly recommend this place and... More

We stayed in a tree house during July 2014 on our honeymoon and had a lovely time! The tree houses feel secluded and private, yet you are only 5-10mins from town centre. The staff were also very friendly and helpful. The onsite bar, the Monsoon Bar (It rains, we pour) had a lovely atmosphere with wood fires and great pub... More

Stayed here in our campervan. The location is very good however the pitches were tiny. If you had a large campervan it would be very difficult to stay here. There are very few showers and toilets for the number of people staying and sadly there were not that clean.

We stayed in a tree lodge, which was clean and cosy. So much fun being in the middle of the rainforest, the design has been very cleverly thought out!! Staff were all very friendly, and the on-site restaurant Monsoon was very good, we ate here both nights of our stay!. Best to go early for dinner, as it gets really... More

Perfect location within 5-10 minutes' walk of restaurants, shops, i-site, helicopter pad, and the hot pools. Great service at the front desk and access to the delicious on-site bar/restaurant (with a wide range of prices). We stayed one night in one of the tree lodges--which was incredibly luxurious and secluded--and one night in the motel, and would recommend both. Only... More
