This was probably the best equipped unit we stayed in. The kitchen had an oven (which motels don't usually), and an extra little thing like an airer for washing in each unit was good (we usually had to borrow these from reception in other places). We were nicely greeted by Flor, and shown to our room. The bedroom was separate... More

Amazing place! Beautiful scenery, beautiful villas and just wow! We were in a 2 bed villa overlooking the mountains and play area which our kids loved! They also have a little petting farm type thing with sheep and alpacas and you can buy food for $2 at reception and go in and feed them which my kids loved! Love everything... More

We booked two nights to be near the glaciers. Ideal accommodation. Clean, quiet, great views. The only drawback is the lack of a footpath down to the restaurants in Franz Josef township. Reception gave us accurate weather forecasts, booked our helicopter tour and got us a discount.

Excellent accomodation. Spacious & very well equipped if you wish to self cater. Linen & towels very good quality. We received a friendly welcome from Juan & he provided us with lots of very useful information. A great one being that he could book restaurants for us & many offer to pick up from the villas. ( great if you... More

This hotel was wonderful - we mostly loved the alpaca's and sheep that you can feed - too cute! The units were huge with ample space and the rooms were lovely - the only gripe we had was that the small aircon unit in the lounge didn't cool down the twin room upstairs which was almost unbearably hot to sleep... I enjoyed my stay here. The Villa was comfortable and roomy. I had a villa with a great view looking out to the mountains. The grounds were nice and the staff was welcoming. If you are looking for something closer to town, this is probably not it, but if you have a car, it was a quick ride in.

We should have been staying at the Rainforest Retreat but it was booked up. Our travel agent booked this instead and, as we were only staying overnight, it didn't seem worth the fuss of further research and swapping. It wasn't my cup of tea, and I wouldn't have chosen it, but that isn't the fault of Glenfern Villas. Positives: A... More

Huge rooms with every amenity you could need. Staff were helpful and the whole place was immaculate. Llamas and sheep for the kids to feed. Located a few minutes drive out of town. Only issue we had was the Wi-Fi by our room was out but I left my laptop with the staff at reception to sync what I needed.

We enjoyed a lovely stay at Glenfern Villas for two nights. We are a family of two adults and two tween-age children. The property has a lovely country feel - although near the road, it was not noisy and our unit (number 1) felt very peaceful. The proximity to the sheep and alpacas was a bonus. The staff were very... More
