I've been wanting to write this for ages - but we had our baby (a girl) Bernie and well time has flown since we had the pleasure of staying with you and Gerard in your beautiful B and B!! The accommodation is amazing - we stayed in the king suite and it was so relaxing and comfortable and clean and... More

The house was wonderful; hardwood floors, hardwood wainscoting, updated rooms. There was a guest sitting room with a fireplace, comfortable sofas, games, books, music, wireless internet and a computer was available. The guest rooms were good sized with a generous sized bathroom with heated floors and a towel warmer. Hot beverages were available upon request. The breakfast was delicious with... More

Lovely B&B with a spacious, very comfortable room with a spectacular view of the mountains. Hosts were terrific in serving a great breakfast and helping us arrange tours. Also going above and beyond the call of duty to help us with laundry and the extra treat of drying outdoors. You can’t help but enjoy your stay.

We can't say enough about this lovely accommodation! Bernie and Jared were excellent hosts. They Have a great room on the main floor where you can sit at the fireplace, enjoy a book , and have a drink. Or, you can go hang out on the balcony and watch the sunset! The rooms are on the second floor of the... More

This house is very well decorated with many traditional features. The rooms are well appointed and immaculately clean. The complimentary glass of port in the evening in front of the log fire was a nice touch. I concur with a previous reviewer that it would have been nicer to have been able to have a cup of tea in bed... More

Our visit to this B&B began with a glass of wine with Bernie in the living room. She is so very knowledgeable about all the attractions in the area. After our help-hike the next day she gave us towels and directed us to the hot pools near town. Both restaurants she described well turned out to have wonderful food. In... More

The house is a lovely old building with lovely gardens. The bedrooms are roomy and comfortable. Bernie is very helpful, including carrying my bags. My only small grouse is that you have to go to the kitchen to get a cup of tea, not great if you ant to go back to bed with it. Gerard cooks the breakfast. Good... More

Steve and I { from christcurch } stayed at the Holly Homestead for one night after our glacier trek. It's fabulous. The grand homestead is set on rural land but still only minutes from the township and the Hot Pools. It is beautifully restored to the finest quality . There are great views of the landscape and horses in the... More

The house is stunning - a time warp back to the 20s/30s with fabulous rooms and bathroom to match. We had a large free standing style bath it looked wonderful and matched the looks of the room, everyone was so friendly and so helpful I would highly recommend this hotel.
