We stayed for one night in the two room chalet in April 14. It seemed newly done up and was very comfortable. The rooms were well organized, cosy and spotlessly clean. It was conveniently located - walking distance to the visitor centre and the tour operators offices. The free WiFI was welcome. It also had a communal kitchen where you... More

We arrived on Easter Sunday when the whole region had already been without power for three days following the cyclone that ripped through the week before. Fortunately they are one of the few places in the town that have their own generators so they had power for hot water and lighting. Despite the difficult circumstances the hosts couldn't have been... Ideally located close to everything, but set back from the main road avoiding the noise that you would get with some other hotels. It is worth knowing that it is only 3 minutes walk to the meeting point for Fox Glacier tours - a bonus if you are on the early morning tours. Our host was welcoming and gave us... More

The bed room was upstairs and the main living room and bathroom on a slightly raised ground floor. Everything you needed was there and the shops restaurants were a stones throw from the lodge. Unusually there was a bath rather than just a shower and after a hard days walking it could come in handy. The rooms were spotless and... More

Pictured a cabin in the mountains but not quite that feeling. Yes you could see the mountains over looking the Camper van sight outside the rooms. That is my fault though it wasn't advertised as mountain views. The joined rooms/cabins were comfortable and had a nice mountain feel inside with all the wood. Very clean and spacious, even had a... We stayed here on our round trip of South Island. Our glorified summer house was cosy and very comfortable. It was spotlessly clean and we got a good welcome on our arrival. We dumped our luggage and walked up to the foot of the glacier before supper. The cicadas were in full song when we arrived and the car park... More

We only stayed one night and were really impressed with this accommodation. As we loved this part of New Zealand I am sure we will visit this area again and will definitely stay here for a longer duration. The landlady was very helpful and arranged our helicopter ride and advised us where to find a good restaurant. A very nice... More

We were greated warmly by the host and she even showed us to our room as well as pointing out where the morning breakfast would be served. We were also told to stop by here and make a cup of coffee and enjoy a slice of the afternoon cake if we wanted to. On the side of the inn, they... More
