Only stayed for one night. Staff were very friendly and accomodating. Breakfast was ok but was criticised in the comments book as it is self service - it is essentially a kitchen with fresh bread, jams, cereal, juice and a pot of coffee. Have to cook your own eggs if you want them. Didn't bother us at all. The place... more

Built "alpine" style (Fox Glacier town is close to sea-level). Apartment all wood look - no hanging area - bed - bathroom ok, except shower was very odd - a retractable plastic shower curtain over half the bathroom floor - as a shower recess. However the truly annoying feature was the noise. There was no sound insulation between the upstairs/downstairs... more

Im terribly sorry that you did not enjoy your stay at Fox Glacier Lodge, I do like to try and ensure that all my guests come away from the Lodge satisfied that they picked the best place to stay in Fox Glacier. I would advise, in future, if you are not 100% happy with your accommodation, to approach a member...

We stayed in one of the apartments with a spa and it was lovely. Liked the fact there was a living area downstairs and bedroom upstairs. Clean and nice touches like jar of lollies and dried flowers in the bathroom. Nice little fireplace too.Truly a warm and comforting experience. Reception staff knowledgeable and friendly. Eat at Cafe Neve as an... more

We stayed here one night and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. The reception staff were very friendly and knowledgeable. The almost brand-new lodge had two levels. The living area, kitchenette and bathroom with spa bath was downstairs. A large bedroom with one queen and one single bed was upstairs. The lodge was clean and had a homely feeling. Cannot comment on... more

Fox Glacier Lodge is a unfriendly place. Reception is closed most of the times, not helpful. Small rooms with old bathroom. Walls are thin and you hear noises from the other rooms. Unfriendly service, we didnt enjoyed it at all. Lousy cheap breakfast, no service at all. Guess owners just interested in money. Its overpriced we feel ripped off. This... more

Booked the apartment style unit (there are only 3 of them) which is newer. It's a loft style with the bed upstairs. Kitchen, dining area, sofa, TV, and bathroom are downstairs. After reviewing so many lodging in the area because we couldn't get a nice one in Fran Josef area, I got confused about whether breakfast was included or not.... more

Very friendly owners. Nice room, but would have felt cramped for 3 adults if we had to spend much time inside. There was one double (or maybe queen) bed and one twin. Very good continental breakfast in large dining area. Multiple good restaurants nearby in this small town. more

We relaxed so easily here, and had the pleasure of staying in the amazing cottage behind the main house. It had its own parking spot, kitchen, spa bath, and fireplace. The best part though, was having all the breakfast already stocked in our fridge so we were able to cook ourselves a huge wholesome breakfast in the morning at the... more

This was a very nice place with a great room and fantastic bathroom with spa. The breakfast was ample and the price was reasonable. Also, it was quite warm in winter, which was a nice surprise from other properties visited in New Zealand. We had a standard room in the lodge but met a couple who had a cottage and... more
