Fox Glacier Lodge is a unfriendly place. Reception is closed most of the times, not helpful. Small rooms with old bathroom. Walls are thin and you hear noises from the other rooms. Booked the apartment style unit (there are only 3 of them) which is newer. It's a loft style with the bed upstairs. Kitchen, dining area, sofa, TV, and bathroom are downstairs. Very friendly owners. Nice room, but would have felt cramped for 3 adults if we had to spend much time inside. There was one double (or maybe queen) bed and one twin. Very good continental breakfast in large dining area. Multiple good restaurants nearby in this small town. more
