The Motel clean and tidy. Kitchen well set up with all your needs . Our units were back off the road so peaceful and quiet . Owners friendly and hospitable . Great place to stop coming from Kimbell after a hot ride to Mount Cook. We would definitely stop in again.

Stayed here for two nights as no accommodation was available in Twizel. Very pleased that we stayed there, well equipped comfortable rooms in a beautiful location. Small supermarket close by and very quiet.

Very helpful staff on arrival, who made us feel really welcome. Motel consists of several chalets and a camping area, surrounding the office and laundry facilities. Our chalet consisted of a bathroom, single bedroom and a double bedroom/kitchen/sitting room. It was very functional and, as it was rather cool during off stay the room heating was very welcome. The motel... More

We stayed here as I was gliding at the nearby airstrip. Brian was nice and friendly when we arrived and gave us the password for the free wifi (250MB each, which was plenty for our needs). The room was well equipped with everything we needed eg. Hairdryer, toaster, microwave, TV, comfy sofa etc. The motel is in a good location... More

We stayed in our caravan in small boutique camping ground which is part of this motel, backpackers accommodation. The owners Brian and Pam were very friendly, helpful people. The facilities are outstanding, the other campers who I believe have been going there for years were just the friendliest people. We had many nights sitting in the shade with them telling... More

Thanks Steve & Donna for taking the time to post that very positive review, we are fortunate in having a small camp which allows us to get to know our campers and enjoy some social time! We don't always expect our guests to cook us a meal but that roast lamb dinner you cooked us was fantastic and much appreciated.... More

The room is too small ! I don't know why it is so small as there are plenty space for the motel to built. I think may be there is not much choice for this small town. About 10 minutes’ walk to restaurants nearby.

Hi Bryan, Yes, the room is small and had you read the in unit history you would have had a better understanding of the complex you were staying in. We operate from 8 am - 9 pm 7 days a week and requesting that guests are considerate enough to arrive within this time frame is a reasonable expectation. We are... More

Stayed 2 nights. Before a tramp and after. The owners kindly looked after some of our gear while we were tramping. We stayed in a different unit each time but both were very clean and well maintained. On the second night our unit did not have cooking facilities but we used the very clean camp kitchen and lounge where we... More

We stayed 4 nights in a 1-bedroom unit, friends joined us for two nights in another. Since we first stayed, the present owners have revamped and freshened up the complex, and it's a pleasure to stay there. Clean, nicely decorated - lots of little extras [toiletries/plunger coffee] We used the motel as a base for some touring, fishing and the... More

Stayed 11 Nov 2015 in 1 bed unit. Requested one facing onto road and early check in. Managers were more than happy to assist. The room was basic, but clean, comfortable and quiet and well priced. Excellent Value for money - don't miss seeing the White Cliffs while you are there - truly majestic and awe inspiring.

Gem of a stay for exploring central South Island. Was a perfect spot for day trips to Lake Tekapo and the hot springs, Oamaru, Mount Cook and Lake Benmore. Not to mention the 20 min walk to the Omarama Hot Tubs. The units are authentic as they were originally built to house workers on the local dam. The complex is... More
