We stayed here two nights - the lodge was easy to find, being about 10km from Murchinson. It is set in a really beautiful area and all the rooms have gorgeous views. We stayed in the room with the king bed and it was very comfortable. Good reading lights and wifi. Wendy and Steve and their dogs, Oscar and Shadow,... More

Yes the Murchison area and its lovely walks are a hidden gem! Although our summer has been great - it's always nice to sit in front of a cosy fire with a glass of wine. Thank you for a lovely review Go55. More

We stayed at Korimako Lodge on our way from Wanaka to Nelson, and it was such a lovely stopover. The views from the lodge are stunning across the Matakitaki valley and the lodge itself is beautiful. Our room was very thoughtfully laid out and we were made to feel right at home by Wendy & Steve - and their 2... More

Attractive miniminalist design lodge with three delightful rooms. Lots to do especially if fishing, and hiking are your interests. Two beautiful canine hosts accompany Wendy and Steve who endeavour to make your stay comfortable and memorable. Dinner a culinary delight using local fish and meats and amazing veggies from the garden. Murcheson an interesting town with a fantastic museum.

Thank you for the review, mollys grandma. Oscar and Shadow really enjoyed your stay, it was a shame Oscar was on enforced kennel rest during your stay but he did enjoy the short walk and the doggie treats! More

We had a marvellous stay. The lodge is set in beautiful bush high on a hill above the Matakitaki valley with stunning views to the surrounding ranges and across the river. It’s an eco-lodge with solar panels, elegantly and carefully designed to fit with its environment and catch the sun all day - and the beds are wonderfully comfortable. There... More

Korimako is located in a beautiful and peaceful valley, where the views are stunning whether it's rainy, sunny or cloudy. The lodge is wonderfully secluded and tucked into a hillside, making it very quiet and tranquil. Steve and Wendy are great hosts and excellent company, as are furry friends Oscar and Shadow who were only too happy to take us... More

The location of the lodge is splendid for outdoor activities in the surrounding areas. The lodge is in a quiet area at the almost end of the valley lovely situated on the hill slopes. Kea and other birds can be seen in the forest and hilsites. The food made by the lodge owners is very good and made of local... More

We enjoyed two nights in a spacious, comfortable room. Wendy and Steve were very attentive and helped provide tips for walks in the local area. The meals were excellent and the wine too. Ideal location for nature lovers and travellers who prefer a quiet retreat. Would love to stay again!

We had a great stay with Wendy and Steve Wood at Korimako Lodge. One of the highlights was a special dinner prepared by Wendy for our wedding anniversary. Dinner was served out on the upstairs deck with spectacular mountain views down into Murchison. I'd caught a trout that day and Steve had prepared it in the smoker - absolutely divine.... More
