Convenient and comfortable, although chilly. Perfectly suitable for a small family or group. Great facilities, including warm blankets and a powerful heat pump for the chilly nights. Easy to park and then grab the keys from what is best described as self-check in! But made it easy when arriving after dark.

Booked in advance with booking .com. On arrival at the address you do wonder if you have come to the right place after seeing the pictures on the booking.com site. It is obviously someones home. You are greeted by a broken down vehicle looks like its been undergoing running repairs/dismantling for quite sometime. The street side of the property is... More

Lovely setting and easy walking distance into town. We stayed in Kea studio which was comfortable and clean. Bathroom was a little on the small side but the accommodation was good and of a high standard. I would certainly recommend a stay here.

Stayed one night en route to Motueka. Wasn't sure what to expect, but what a fabulous surprise. Quietly nestling in a private garden we were very impressed with the standard of the cottages and the position was idyllic. The cottages are very well appointed and Jenny and Melissa were very helpful with local info. Not expensive either.

RiverSong is a peaceful and lovely palce to unwind. The Falcon cottage we slept in is a wide and warm wooden building, with a nice batrhoom and a fully equipped kitchen to use. Beds are very comfy. The garden is wide and very well maintained. Hammocks are available to relax, as well as a badminton pitch. Jenny is a lovely... More

My husband and I stayed in the Kea studio attached to the RiverSong house. The room was quiet and clean. Hotel owner was very friendly and helped us book expeditions and dinner. Just a block away from the main street in Murchision.

Our room was comfortable and warm - a welcome relief after days of rain and storms. Like a B&B, the setup is more like a large house than a purpose-built hotel but that's part of the charm. The room was large, with a comfortable bed and had reasonable amenities including free Wi-Fi. The bathroom was a little on the small... More

My husband, adult son and I spent 1 night in the "Tui" cottage which is a 2 bedroom, 1 bath unit. It is located in the back of the complex, so very quiet. Bedroom #1: queen with comfortable inner-spring mattress. Bedroom #2: 2 twins. Bathroom: hairdryer, lighting is from ceiling light only and mirror is to the left of the... More

Everyone laughed when we said were staying at Murchison everyone we told laughed. It is a lovely little town. Tui cottage is two bedroom cottage, comfortable and clean and warm and all we needed. We enjoyed the scenic route drive from Picton to Murchison. It certainly wasn't as small as we were lead to believe. We had dinner in one... More

We stayed one night whilst travelling from Hokitika to Nelson. After the GPS sent us in the wrong direction we found the place. It was dark by the time we arrived, an a bit chilly. However the welcome from Jenny was very warm. The room we had was the "Kea" unit. (It was obviously an extension of the house) The... More
