What can I say but WOW!! Just as I had seen in pictures & on a travel program. We had a warm welcome when we arrived & the fire going so we came into a nice warm house. As we were the only ones that night, Andrea & David kindly upgraded us from the stables to a room in the... More

I received a 2 night voucher last year from my employee and was able to use 1 night (my last review) and the other night on Waitangi Weekend. My voucher had expired but I was still allowed to use, which I was thankful for. I know, I'm a bit slow on the review, but better late then never:) We were... More

We stayed over Easter and enjoyed a nice bottle of wine in the garden, provided by David. excellent choice. The children loved the egg hunt in the morning in the garden. The ambiance is relaxed in a cosmopolitan way. Super clean and comfortable with Egyptian cotton, a must visit for the discerning traveller who has seen it all. Please realise... More

Wonderful Boutique B&B! Location wise, it is very convenient to explore the Central Otage Rail Trail and the Wineries. Friendly hospitality shown by David & Andrea with beautifully restored Classic rooms and a bathtub to soak away the tiredness of a long tiring day. We just can't believe how neat and clean the room is. If you are tired from... More

Olivers is a set of buildings on a large site, cleverly and stylishly restored and enhanced, around a central courtyard. We stayed at the Naylor room in the large historic villa but also viewed the stonewall stable rooms. They were all top quality - the challenge is to choose one. Our room had unobtrusive mod cons: underfloor heating in the... More

We spent our first night here before starting the rail trail. This place has been beautifully restored. The rooms were comfortable & our hosts Dave & Andrea put on an awesome breakfast. Olivers was right next door to Cycle Surgery & walking distance to everywhere.

My husband, two teens and myself had a night at Olivers at the end of our Otago Rail Trail biking adventure. We stayed in the Davidson and Dunstan rooms. It was wonderful to stay in such a historic New Zealand building so tastefully brought back to life. The furnishings are exquisite. It was a wonderful experience to walk around the... More

This was our 3rd stay with Andrea and David. They have made Olivers into my favorite New Zealand Hotel. The old buildings are lovingly restored and Andy and David are fantastic hosts. If you are in the area, make sure you visit here.

Our nights accommodation at Olivers was truly the most memorable on the Rail Trail. Only seconds from the Cycle Surgery and renovated to perfection, our party of four enjoyed superb surroundings, extreme comfort and glorious food. The fixtures and fittings and attention to detail was an experience in itself. We loved everything. Wandering in the garden, enjoying a wine at... More
