This is a hotel with "history" in a fantastic location (IF the weather is cooperative). My room was just average. Food was fine but not memorable. The place looks amazing on arrival. Reception were very welcoming and upgraded us as it was our honeymoon. We were shown to our room which was large and had a great bathroom with a jacquzzi bath. This is the closest you can stay to the Whakapapa ski area and a 10-15 minute car or shuttle bus journey will have you directly on the ski field.
