Planning my next trip to NZ reminded me that I never did reviews for my last one. Waimana wasn’t on my original itinerary, we ended up there after a problem at another location, but it ended up being a terrific solution for a place to stay a couple of nights. Beautiful views from the property over the water, especially at... More

We recently stayed at Waimana Point for the weekend and highly recommend it. It is located so close to Auckland and yet feels like a world away - very private, relaxing and quiet. The accommodation itself was very comfortable and well appointed, and the views are gorgeous. Hosts Gloria and Geoff are fantastic - they were unobtrusive but also very... More

For a simple weekend get away you cannot beat this property. Amazing hosts, amazing location. Spectacular views. So quiet yet not so far. We were fortunate to have great July weather but did not want to leave. Spoil yourself and get up there and relax. You will be as impressed. Beats the Bay of Islands, hands down. Many thanks

This place is AMAZING. The location, the lodge, the owners and everything is absolutely perfect. We retreated for a night away with 2 other couples and were blown away by this most beautiful place and had one of the best nights in a very long time. Highly recommend to anyone who is wanting a great night away or particularly international... More

My partner and I stayed here recently and were both impressed with Geoff & Gloria's warmth and hospitality. You feel completely at peace here with zero traffic sounds and complete privacy. My parents have also stayed here and absolutely loved... More

We spend the first two nights of our six week New Zealand trip at this superb lodge. When we arrived at Auckland airport after a 30 hour trip, Gloria was there to drive us to the lodge with our own rental car! After a one hour save and very informative drive we arrived at this beautiful house were Geoff helped... More

We spent our 25th Wedding anniversary at Waimana staying 2 nights. We wish we could have extended it as the place was lovely with beautiful views across the point. Gloria and Geoff made sure everything was picture perfect and are truly wonderful hosts. Although they do not cater for meals don't let this put you off staying there, as you... More

My partner and I stayed at the lodge over the Easter break and were really impressed with the location and service. The hosts are really genuine and will do all they can to make your stay enjoyable. Highlights would include the panoramic views and having a complimentary wine in the outdoor baths whilst watching the sun go down. If your... More
