Our family stayed here for a week. When we booked, the lovely staff member suggested a site by the playground - an excellent idea, as our 3 kids under 5 could play all day with no concern. Some have mentioned the playground is old, but the kids loved it. Beach right on the doorstep was great! The bathrooms are old,... More

We stayed here after travelling up form Whangarei. We didn’t think it was too far out of the way and the road to the peninsula was very quiet. The lady who checked us in wasn’t particularly friendly, but the campsite was very quiet and set in lovely surroundings and less than a minutes walk to the beach and the sea.... More

Not sure why that holiday park belongs to the Top10 group. We stayed there for 3 nights, $ 42 / night for a powered RV site. We felt it was way too expensive for what you get from them. Facilities are really average. Kitchen was ok, but BBQs were broken and dirty. Missing gas knobs etc... Staff were really noise... More

This Ten Top reaches the standard of the other Top Ten's we have stayed out, clean, nice public areas etc. Not sure if it was just our cabin but there were rules everywhere for for everything. Most people staying will be adults who run their own home and don't need to be told how to behave. Also if you are... More

I was met by two lovely ladies who gave me two warmest welcome so far on my trip. A very relaxing place and very well kept. Out of season, I was the only person in the campsite so pretty much had the run of the place. Everything I needed too; warm showers, laundry, powered site, internet, a beach nearby to... More

We stayed 3 nights in the two bedrooms spa villa during April 2015. The location was very remote. If you plan to stay there, my advice to you is to stock up enough ingredients to cook your own meals. Don't ever think of buying the ingredients in any near by supermarket or grocery shop. The nearest Four Square supermarket was... More

Stayed here for one night using a powered site. Reception staff were very helpful, friendly and nice to deal with. The grounds were lovely, with a nice swimming beach over the road. The kitchen and TVs rooms were well appointed. The bathroom was a little tired but nice and clean so perfectly adequate. This was the most expensive holiday park... More

We were a group of Nine and rented there large cabin/house which slept 6. It was high on the ridge, beautiful and well kept. We mainly utilized the kitchen in the house, but we did check out all the facilities and found them more than adequate, especially the communal kitchen. We have many camp grounds can be sparse as far... More

We stayed for 1 night at Whatuwhiwhi Holiday park 1 week ago and were very disappointed with the cabin we stayed in. In general the holiday park is nicely kept, most cabins look good and renovated, also the communal kitchen and bathrooms were well kept. But beware what cabin you book. We were 4 people and booked a cabin that... More

Interesting to stay somewhere which seems to have been created by a nudist, bald, grubby designer..... Nudist, because there was absolutely nowhere to hang or store clothes in our room Bald, because there was nowhere to plug in a hairdryer anywhere near a mirror Grubby, because there was nowhere to place toiletries in the bathroom, asides from the floor The...
