Our experience at Peppers Carrington was a bit disappointing as the wild winds that whipped across the peninsula meant that almost all the outdoor activities were off the table. Trouble is, unless you really love a game of pool, there is not much else to do. The golf course looked stunning although we were not able to play due to... More

My new husband and I picked this location for our honeymoon and spent a week here. Our honeymoon was better than we could imagine. The scenery is absolutely stunning - we got to watch beautiful sunset each night from the restaurant and our hotel room. The golf course is amazing standard and other resort facilities such as the large pool... More

My husband surprised me with an overnight stay here for our wedding anniversary last weekend. When we landed in Kaitaia I was wondering where we would be staying but by the time we had taken the 30 min shuttle ride from the airport I was amazed at the stunning scenery. The resort itself was very quiet, in fact we only... More

We have had the good fortune to have been to many of the worlds great resorts and so we have plenty to compare with. The price was so reasonable we were concerned that something may be less than it appeared on the web site. We were surprised to find it was way better! The most fabulous food, wine and service... We spent a week at Carrington Resort on the Karikari peninsula. Of the many beautiful places we've seen in New Zealand, the view from our townhouse villa really was stunning. 180 degrees vista of nothing but nature, beach and ocean. I've never been anywhere like it! This is a small, boutique resort with only a small number of apartments on... More

We stayed for a week here between Christmas and New Year. We booked a villa for five for the family. It is a beautiful place with views over the golf course to the sea and white sand dunes. The villa was well laid out, very clean, slightly dated appliances but otherwise very nice. We ate a few times at the... More

We are touring the NZ nth island & dined at the Karikari Estate Winery, part of the Peppers Carrington property, on Jan 2. We arrived at the winery and our first impression was what a spectacular view! We sat down & the menu looked ok, we even thought we might come back again...then...the waiter arrived & warned us a 15%... More

We were looking forward to a lovely weekend away. We booked to stay for a night. The hotel is far away from anywhere so we planned to relax at the hotel & eat all meals there. Our 1st meal at the winery was below average. Our dinner was average. The breakfast the following day was so disgusting, we had to... More

I was really impressed when we drove up to the resort with beautiful grounds, the rooms were tidy & well supplied. Overall the food experience could improve, both dinner at the pizzeria & breakfast the next morning were poor although the waiter was great.
