Stayed here with a small group of bikers - arrived soaking wet and cold! Manager was extremely accommodating and drove me down to the warehouse to buy some dry socks (was pouring water out of my boots!), and later drove us all up to a local restaurant and came back for us later - all so we wouldn't have to... The same as above, one advantage is that it's directly accross from Harrisons Cape Reanga tour bus so you get first choice of seats, also there is a very good super market next door. It was a very pleasant stopover and would not hessitate to recommend this motel to stay at if in Kaitaia.

Jan & Barry Parsonage (UK) stayed with Mary & Pete in Feb 2014 and were treated like family. Mary was very helpful, friendly and welcoming. Helped with local information - best advice to do the 90 mile beach excursion with Harrison's - wouldn't have missed it for the world!!! Spacious, comfortable accommodation.

After my initial contact with the proprietor on phone, I knew I was in for a good stay. On arrival Mary made my husband and I and our two teenage grand children feel right at home, it was like I'd known her for years. Our unit was a charm (a bit dated), however it was immaculate and very clean. After... More

We stayed for two nights at this Motor Lodge whilst visiting Cape Reinga and the North Cape. The accommodation is very clean and well appointed even for three persons. There were four beds in the two rooms. There is a swimming pool too which is a bonus after a whole day driving, and a BBQ!!

Thank you to Mary and her husband. She was so friendly and open. Willing to assist us make our stay comfortable. Went the extra mile to ensure we had everything in our rooms. She assisted us with our Cape Reinga tour and made sure that our meal needs were catered for. A truly kiwi experience and I will certainly stay... More

Thanks for a great stay. Mary is a Northland gem! She had heaps of local knowledge and tips as well as helping to return our lost ipod after we had left. Room was simple, yet very clean and tidy; it was perfect for a short overnight stay for our family. Great location.

We (3 adults + 10 & 7 yr old kids) stayed here for 2 nights with doing the bus trip to Cape Reinga. The 2 bedroom unit was a good size and kitchen was well equipped. The kids enjoyed the pool and the bbq was good. Supermarket next door was handy; Harrisons bus trip was over the road so handy... More

The manager Mary was stressed on arrival, not really what I wanted after a long five hour drive from Dargaville in the baking Northland sun. I was disapointed marketed as a "motor lodge" was unable to wash my classic vehicle on the premises; as entered Autospectacular show in Taipa suggest car club members beware. The swimming pool looked dirty so... More

This proprietor just has no idea. They should not work in the service industry and by doing so are an embarrassment to other kiwi hoteliers. One of the rudest people I've ever had the displeasure of dealing with.
