Wonderful accommodation, nice size rooms with big high ceilings adding to sense of spaciousness. Good modern shower. But best of all the superb friendly hosts - and a lovely home cooked breakst at 7am was the perfect start the day. Thanks guys.

Upon arriving at the Waters Edge we were greeted by our friendly host Alastair. Our room was warm and well appointed although a little small. The following morning there was a blackout and we thought breakfast would be interesting, however in true professional style, Alastair prepared a delicious, healthy, and substantial breakfast which my wife and I appreciated. We loved... More

First impressions, the place was a little tricky to find as I arrived at night and the home is hidden at the end of the road. All you can see of the home is a driveway from the road so just keep your eyes peeled for the little waters edge sign. Once I got there I was immediately welcomed by... More

What can I say about this lovely place to stay? From the moment we pulled up in our car to the moment we left was a sheer delight. Alastair made us feel like a part of the family, he guided us through his property with care and obvious delight, nothing was too much trouble, his children shared in our experience... More

This is the way all BnB's should be run. It was the best one durung our 21-day stay in New Zealand. When you arrive at Waters Edge BnB, you immediately feel welcome and respected. The host authentically cares for his guests and looked after us as if we were good friends. The breakfast was done so that all the guests... More

Everything was beautiful. A warm welcome from Alastair, which was lovely. Considering how early we were ;-) We enjoyed the scenery. We got up to cape reinga which was breathtaking. Highly recommended. You couldn't get any better..

This was our first stop after flying in to Auckland. Although the room was not large we had no problems storing 2 suitcases plus 2 pieces of hand luggage. There were some nice touches in the shower room such as cleansing pads and cotton buds. Alastair was the perfect host and nothing was to much trouble. Would recommend this lovely... More

I'm really surprised reading some of the recent negative reviews below; I'm so glad that I made my decision before seeing them! We stayed here just before Christmas, and absolutely loved it. Sure; the rooms aren't massive, and it's a little unconventional having to reach the bathroom through the smaller (single) bedroom; but it was so immaculately clean, beautifully furnished... More

I would agree with most reviews below. The room we had was very small and the bathroom was impossible for two people to move around. This being said we stayed the one night and Alastair was fantastic. I would stay here again if it was just for the one night, however if it was for a few days I would... More

We stayed one night at this B&B, and if we could have turned around when we saw it we would have! The room is so small there is barely room for two people to move around. No place for any luggage, we managed, but would have been better off to leave it in the car and run back and forth... More
