The structure is nice and attractive and offers reasonable comfort, excellent for the position, and awsome views of the lagoon. Nothing's really missing, the staff is friendly and helpful, the food is good and it'c ompletely owned by the Sani Isla community. It would deserve a higher score, but the weakest part are excursions. They're fine for a glimpse of... More

Dear Customer, We really hope you had enjoyed your visit to Sani Lodge. We are continually trying to improve our services and to prepare the staff for showing the beautiful jungle we protect (more than 37 000 hectares including one part inside the Yasuni protected Park). It is true that if you are a birder you should tell it in... More

My husband and I had an amazing week in the amazon at Sani Lodge. Beautiful setting off the main river on a lagoon where you can spot for caymans at night, accessible only by paddle canoe so no nose of motors etc. We saw anaconda, tarantula, monkeys, caught piranha (I caught two!). ...many many birds and insects. Lovely clean rooms,... More

WE are in our 70's and very much wanted to visit this Eco Lodge. My husband is much more fit than I am. Why stay at Sani? 1.It is run entirely by the gracious Kichwa people and ALL proceeds go to improve the community. 2. It is away from the busy Napo River on a peaceful lagoon and since all... More

My wife (Finland) and I (Norway) spend 5 days here :-) What a wonderful and peaceful place! We stayed here in the beginning of March and the weather was sunny and hot. Our local guide GERANIO helped us all the time - he was maybe the best guide you can have in Amazon! His knowledge about birds, plants, fish and... More

My wife and I spent 3 nights and 4 days at Sani Lodge in July 2014, and we had an absolutely wonderful time. A friend of ours had recommended the place to us very strongly, and we had also been impressed with the very positive reviews on TripAdvisor, but even with these high expectations, we were amazed by this place.... The Sani Lodge is a great story of community involvement, sustainability and making the right choices. Oh, and its a GREAT Amazon Basin experience of scenery, birding and wildlife with excellent local guides. The Sani are an indigenous group living within and adjoining Yasuni National Park. As a community, the Sani chose creating their lodge and tour operation over oil... More

We stayed here for 5 days/4 nights and had a really first class time. The time was just about long enough but an extra day or so would have been fine. Less would have been too short. This was not a pampered luxury trip but was all the better for it. You were well looked after and the facilities were... More

Sani Lodge is in an undisturbed part of Yasuni National Park. There is an abundance of wildlife and new things appear with every few steps. The guides and naturalists will help you discover the local flora and fauna, and you will be amazed. The staff is wonderful, the food is quite good, and the accommodations, while rustic, are nice.
