This is real, no make up with the community wich is great, the are not employees, they run all the operation and take care of the environment because it's they own home, and you can tell in the birds and wildlife, a lot more than in the other lodges I've been... Great work guys!!...

We stayed here for 5 days/4 nights and had a really first class time. The time was just about long enough but an extra day or so would have been fine. Less would have been too short. This was not a pampered luxury trip but was all the better for it. You were well looked after and the facilities were... More

Sani Lodge is in an undisturbed part of Yasuni National Park. There is an abundance of wildlife and new things appear with every few steps. The guides and naturalists will help you discover the local flora and fauna, and you will be amazed. The staff is wonderful, the food is quite good, and the accommodations, while rustic, are nice. I was in Ecuador in may and stayed at the Sani Lodge for 3 nights. Our guide , Freddy, met us at the airport in Quito and we flew to Coca. Later, we were transferred with a bus to the port and get on a canoo . The ride was rough because of the rain. We all got wet. It... More

If you want a real jungle experience this is a great place. Luxurious enough for more mature travellers but 'basic' enough to keep you close to a jungle experience. The lodges are comfortable (and the dorms and camping area looked good too) the food great and plentiful, the people friendly and helpful, the organisation from the point of our departure... More

I took a three week trip to Ecuador as a student on a study abroad trip and we stayed at Sani Lodge for five days. I thought the service was excellent and the indigenous guides were very knowledgable and spoke perfect english. The grounds were very well kept and the staff was always friendly and willing to talk and share... More

We had an awesome time during our 4D3N trip deep in the jungle thanks to the wonderful hospitality and care of the Sani community. Right from our arrival at the airport, to the boat ride, canoe ride, accommodation and the activities, the Sani staff have certainly gone above and beyond to ensure our stay in the jungle as comfortable as... I went to Sani to experience the rain forest and 'Amazonia' but mostly for the birding. I was very sorry to leave on the fifth day, and if returning, would stay another one or two. I appreciate that Sani doesn't limit start dates except for no Sunday starts. It makes more efficient travel planning (in my mind). The office was... More

Sani lodge is an excellent base from which to explore the lagoons and yakoos of the rainforest. With the added benefit of excellent guides, fast and efficient service and comfortable lodges. The bar area overlooking the lagoon was a wonderful place to come back to and discuss the wildlife spotted that day - anything from caimen to turtles all in... More

We stayed at Sani for 4d/3n in February 2014, and had an unforgettable experience. We chose the lodge because of its remote location, reputation for seeing wildlife, and the fact that it is run by the local indigenous community and the proceeds benefit them directly. From the representatives at the airport, to the transportation by motorized canoe from Coca to... More
