One week at the Napo Wildlife Centre opened up a new world in the amazon rain forest for us. The guides have been outstanding in showing us the flora and fauna of this unique and most important ecosystem mainly by canoe. After a very well planned daily program the lodge was a most welcome romantic hide way to return to... More

I had a great overall experience. The guides (specifically Juan Carlos) were great and personable, and the actual lodge, on the edge of a secluded lake (it takes a 2-hour motorized boat trip plus a 2-hour canoe trip to get to it), is beautiful, comfortable and luxurious. The meals are extraordinary and the activities top notch. If you're visiting the... More

I just read through about 8 or so five star reviews. We agree with everything good that was discussed. We had Juan Carlos as our guide, and David as our local guy. Both were terrific. Not even considering the isolated location (I think that's the idea!), it was just perfect.

While I have nothing to compare this lodge with, one bird watching guest had stayed at many lodges in Ecuador, Peru and Brazil and rated Napo as clearly the most luxurious he had stayed in. It certainly exceeded our expectations with big rooms, ceiling fans, very comfortable beds, a great location and even satellite based wifi and laundry facilities in... More

From leaving Coca on the Napo River, canoeing for hours on the Anunga creek to the lodge, you are in the midst of the rainforest. The guides are excellent & the staff are all members of the Anunga tribe that own the NWCenter. We were impressed by the accommodations...if you can afford upgrade to rooms 13/14 or 15/16 ! Every... Truly a high end experience; cabins are brilliant; luxurious, spacious and all have a great likeside view with a porch. Staff is super friendly and nearly all of them speak good English. The guides were excellent and the fact that all boats are paddled only through the canals surely adds to the experience of being in the jungle.

This 50,000 acre wildlife center is located within the Yasuni National Park. The lodge and cabins are spacious, the food is very good and the guides are outstanding. The Kichwa community run this center and there is no hunting or fishing allowed. As a result the wildlife spotting is without equal. Since the ecology is in balance the Bats, Swallows... More

I would give the Napo Wildlife Centre 6 out of 5 stars, for an experience unlike any we've ever had. This place in the world is a treasure, and a privilege to visit... the way the rainforest used to be, before roads, oil and gas exploration, and other types of high impact influences. The food and service were exceptional, and... More

Combines lovely quarters with AMAZING wildlife excursions led by skilled guides. Food very good. Don't go if you are looking for a spa experience, however my wife is NOT a hardy explorer type, hates the woods, and even she had a more than great time. One of our best trips ever. May go back there to bring our kids. We... More

An outstanding example of a community run project. Napo is an inspiration and an utter joy to visit. The overall vision is impressive. You can see the investment made by the local community and the respect they have for both the rainforest and their guests. This is place that cares about your experience. The staff are impressive in their professionalism... More
