In real life looks better than google street view. Rooms nice and tidy, bathroom could use some detergent. Neighbourhood not so scary in evenings like in other reviews I've red. Simple restaurant with mid quality meals. Staff could try to learn English a little, friendly anyway. Not so bad view from balcony, beach with something to look at. Swimming pool... More

Small, crawdy hotel close to the port. I get so small room that there was no place for suitcase. Terrible smell of chloride causing tears in the eyes. View on the cementary out of the window. A lot of strange flying animals in the room and restaurant. Oldfasion TV hanging over bed. Loud aircondition, without remote control. Food not bad... More

Staff were friendly and accommodating. No one speaks English, you need to have some understanding of Portuguese at this hotel, vs. at other hotels in Macae that cater to foreigners, such as the Sheraton Four Points. Location: at the end of Praia (Beach) Imbetiba, far away from the popular Praia Cavalheiros with all the great restaurants. Within walking distance to... More
