Cannot say enough about the new adults only pool. We've stayed here in the past, and enjoyed the hotel and it's relaxed attitude among what can be stuffy Wailea. But the new serenity pool takes it over the top. We enjoyed sunset everynight relaxing in the pool with cocktails, the view can't be beat. They are still working on the... More

Spent 5 nights here at the end of a Pacific vacation which started with a 12 day cruise from Tahiti ending at Honolulu, then came to Maui. Compared to the Waikiki Marriott where we'd just stayed 2 nights, this property scores higher for relaxation, about the same on views. We'd not asked to be away from the construction since most... We had a wonderful 10-day stay here. The small, private beach is a highlight--great sunning and snorkeling steps from the hotel. Rooms are comfortable and unpretentious. Sunset at the bar is beautiful. We can't wait to return!

Very nice hotel that is going through a renovation in excess of 60 million dollars. VERY NICE ROOMS. Roomy and clean. The valet/bell staff was kind and helpful; we loved them. The front desk was great to work with; amazingly accomodating. All of the employees on the site greet you with a smile. Grounds are immaculate. Great place to view... More

We started visiting this resort in 1988 on our honeymoon. For the next 10 years we stayed at this resort through the ownership changes from intercontinental to Aston to Outrigger to managed by Marriott. As those years transpired the resort went through various half attempts at remodeling. None were complete and most were stopped before completion due to "cost". After... More

My sister and I spent 3 nights at this property and absolutely loved it! We were in what's called a terrace/garden room in the tower building. Our room faced the front drive and main desk area; however, there are trees that block your view and we rarely heard any noise. From reading other reviews, I wasn't sure if we would... More

It's what you make of it. Previous reviewers state that serenity pool and other construction do not impact the visitor experience. Either those reviewers are shills for the property/chain, or they can't hear or see or smell very well. The construction is loud, with large trucks coming and going and trenching equipment etc operating 8-5 Mon-Sat: vrooooom beep beep beep... More

My husband and I booked a trip to Maui that put staying at the Marriott Wailea towards the end of our trip. We were greated with seashell lei's ( The sheraton Kanapalli gave us fresh ones). When we arrived at the desk, we had to wait in line for about 5 minutes because there were only 2 people working that... More

Let me start with this Island... Maui is unbelievable. Just unreal. It's like living in a postcard. Rent your own car and take the Road to Hana. Now to the town... Wailea is an upscale area on the SouthWest coast of Maui. Gorgeous scenery, beautiful beaches, and very friendly people. don't expect a rockin' nightlife, but that's not what you... More

My husband and I stayed at the Marriott Wailea in early October. We had a great stay. We knew about the construction and ended up staying on the side the property with the construction. They were upfront about it and asked if I still wanted to go through with the reservation. It was not that big of a deal. If... More
