Although not quite as opulent as some of the surrounding resorts, like the Four Seasons or the Grand Wailea, the Marriott makes up for it with sprawling grounds and a less crowded ambiance. The kiddie pool and water slides are completely separated from the adult-only pool, which was nice for everybody. There is also an infinity pool that is mixed-use... more

I highly recommned the Marriott Wailea. The property is beautifully landscaped from the moment you arrive at the open-air lobby. The pool areas overlooking the ocean are gorgeous (in my opinion better than the more expensive neighboring hotels), but we spent most of our time at the beaches :) There are tons of nooks and crannies with beach chairs and... more

We arrived on June 28th, 2009 for our "last trip" before baby comes in November. We arrived at the hotel around 9pm or so. Everything was nice. The room on the 7th floor was nice, nothing special. We quickly went to the restaurant and had a good meal. In the morning, we noticed we had a great partial view of... more

The hotel accomodations were nice and clean and the bed was very comfortable. We had a garden room on the 8th floor, but could still see the ocean from the corner of our balcony. The staff was friendly and helpful. The best part of the property is the adults only infinity pool, which was gorgeous. I highly recommend renting one... more

For what they charge here, you will feel like you are at a 3star property. You are greated at check in to a shell lei (the ones at Walmart for 62 cents are nicer). For the cost of a room at this Marriott, they should give you a fresh flower lei!!! Tacky shell lei should be skipped if they don't... more

We just got back from a trip to Kauai and Maui as we were celebrating our 30th wedding anniversary and stayed at the Marriott while in Maui. As I stated in another review on Hanalei Bay, we would have liked to have stayed in Kaui the entire time even though the Marriott in Maui was nice. Our oceanfront room at... more

It's not often that I get called a liar to my face by a front desk staff member--but that's basically what happened here. We were set up with a room upgrade by another staff member upon arrival, but unfortunately could not take advantage of it until the second night. No big deal, until we called on day to to make... more

Booked a room six months in advance and requested an ocean front room with two queen beds as my Wife and I were travelling with children. I e-mailed Marriott and reaffirmed that we wanted a room with two queen beds five months before our check in date and was told that this was no problem. Guess what when we checked... more

My wife and I stayed here at the end of our 3 island trip to Hawaii. I had booked a room on points (I travel worldwide about 75% of the time for my job). I had told my wife about the poor reviews of the place on TA to keep her expectations low. Well, from the time we arrived until... more
