We've just returned from one of the best family vacations "ever" thanks to the service, staff and environs of the Fairmont Kea Lani. I read other Trip Advisor reviews before booking this hotel and would say that the negatives were either expected; like the expense of the resort or the greedy birds during outside dining. Hawaii is expensive, people!! Know... more

I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone with kids. since all rooms are suites, you are not constantly on top of each-other. pros: bathrooms are huge, hotel is well maintained, most of the staff is friendly, and they <mostly> don't nickle and dime you for everything cons:some of the staff like to make up their own rules when it... more

This is a great place for families!! The suite set up is perfect for 2 adults and 2 kids (not sure you could squeeze more kids in or not). The place is expensive, so bring your wallet. Couple of tips... * Valet parking is $20 per day. Self parking is FREE. * The breakfast buffet is good, but not great.... more

Compared to the other resorts in Wailea, the Kea Lani is small and intimate. We were upgraded to an ocean view suit and the view was amazing and the big patio made it easy to enjoy looking at the ocean and the island of Kohoolawe. The staff are very friendly, the pool is nice, and the self parking is good.... more

Just returned from a 6 night stay at the Kea Lani. The staff was warm and attentive and we were upgraded to an oceanview suite on arrival. The suites are spacious and well maintained and the beach is beautiful. It was the perfect choice for us. more

It was gorgeous! The lobby is breath-taking with a view of the pool grounds and ocean from it. We are a couple who travelled with our 10 year old son. Our room had a comfortable king size bed and living area with a fold out for our son. It was roomy, clean and comfortable with a great view of the... more

We stayed at the Fairmont Kea Lani for our 20th anniversary trip. It was beautiful. Our room was spacious, clean, and everything you would expect in this class of hotel. Food at the hotel is very good but crazy expensive. We bought lunch food and snacks and kept them in our mini-fridge. The only part about the hotel that made... more

It is safe to say this was a wonderful hotel and all of my fellow travelers felt pretty much the same way. Staff was extremely helpful and courteous. My only complaint was the prices for food and drink were excessively high. more

We have been very lucky to stay at many Fairmont hotels, like the Banff Springs, Chateau Lake Louise, Jasper Park Lodge, Royal York, Chateau Frontenac - each one individual and unique, but this has to be our favorite! The first thing that amazed us was when you enter the lobby and see no doors or windows, just a view through... more
