My wife and I stayed at the Hotel Wailea earlier this month as part of our vow renewal ceremony. The grounds were spectacular and very well maintained, as a result of the construction, we received an automatic room upgrade with a wonderful ocean view and a lanai which was used to enjoy a couple of glasses of wine. Upon arriving... More

My husband and I experienced a magical 8 day stay at Hotel Wailea last month. Our room was beautifully updated and included a lovely lanai with an ocean view. We really liked the quietness and privacy of being up the hill from the beach -- with the option of prompt transportation and needed beach amenities at our fingertips. The grounds... More

We loved this hotel! We visited Oahu and Maui for a few weeks in the fall for our Honeymoon and this was one of our favorite places. Wailea is a beautiful area and this hotel pleasantly fits right in. Hotel is set back from the beach on a small hill, awarding you with gorgeous views of the water and Molokai.... More

This is a hotel I will never forget. We spent 7 nights. The rooms are very spacious and beautifully decorated with balconies overlooking the ocean. Manicured gardens with a rushing water fall added to the beauty. It is quiet and serene yet amazingly welcome. The staff was the best we've ever experienced. We stayed in multiple luxury hotels on this... More

My husband and I were lucky to spend three nights at Hotel Wailea. If you are not into the giant/frenetic resorts along the beaches, I would highly recommend this place. It is not your typical 'hotel' and really fits the 'boutique' description. The property is private, quiet, beautifully landscaped, and sits on a hillside overlooking the ocean. Our townhouse-style rooms... More

I booked this trip a few months prior to our holiday in early March. I was a bit nervous about the rooms since reviews mentioned that some rooms were updated and very nice and others were not and worn out. While I didn't plan to spend my vacation IN my hotel room, I wanted everything about our Maui trip to... More

I've reviewed this earlier, but the hotel is in the midst of a renovation. They'll be working on (completely redoing) the pool and spa area as soon as Spring Break is done, so if those areas are important to you, be sure to check with the front desk do see how the work will line up with your dates. We stayed at the Hotel Wailea for a few days before heading up to Lahaina. It has a great location and nice views of the water from the lanai. A quick drive to the beach with your bag including towels and cold water. Very helpful staff.

This hotel is very small with "big hotel" amenities--there are only 72 suites---in villas that contain 4 suites each. It is not right on the beach, so you are not paying the "beach location" prices, but you can have an ocean view if you pay more. (The hotel was once a private Japanese hotel). The lobby and grounds are lovely.... More

I hope this doesn't happen to anyone else, but our stay got off to the wrong start...We checked into our room and SURPRISE there were people already in our room.
