5 of 5 stars Reviewed yesterday NEW

Beautiful grounds and well appointed casual, contemporary themed hotel rooms that were both chic and relaxing. Our unit was modern with a small functional kitchen for light cooking and meal preparation. A gorgeous bathroom with a deep bath and open shower concept that felt very spa like...the pool area was fabulous and surprisingly quiet. Mostly an adult oriented property. The... More

We are a family of 4 - 2 adults, and our 17 and 20 year old children. We had a truly fabulous stay for 5 nights over the New Year's holiday. The hotel and grounds are beautiful, and we especially appreciated the excellent service from the concierge -- wonderful recommendations for restaurants and outings (whale watching with Redline Rafting and... Hotel Wailea sits on a hill overlooking the ocean, about 10 minutes' walk from the beach. The accommodation consists of about 72 guest rooms in blocks of four two-story buildings. The rooms are beautifully designed with Lutron lighting, comfortable beds and beautiful bathrooms. The pool is small and fairly shallow, but never feels crowded. The pool area staff are truly... Hotel Wailea lived up to it's website. Beautiful, extremely comfortable, spacious and clean. Being a short distance from the beach was no problem at all, as they drop you off at a stunning beach and pick you up again as it suits you. The staff were very helpful and always friendly. Each apartment has it's own wifi password - all... More

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Hotel Wailea. The grounds are lovely and private and the pool area is simulator divine. The cabanas and lounge chairs were always plentiful and the bar staff always amenable. The hotel's restaurant , Capische, is also top notch. If you want a sophisticated, quiet and romantic stay, away from all... More

Im not sure i need to say much more! we really loved Hotel Wailea the first time, and the 2nd time was actually better. The renovations are divine, really up market. We'll be going again. When going to Maui, we just want to tune out. And perhaps some people might not like being a few hundred metres from the beach,... More

These are apartment style rooms, with kitchen basics (microwave, refrigerator, coffee), wifi, TV, etc. The rooms are recently renovated and beautiful, with a wonderful space distribution an ample living room - porch area that opens up. Although pricey, it is definitely worth it. The staff is very friendly and seem always happy to help out. The hotel is located on... More

In the three years since we last stayed there have been some nice improvements especially the remodeling of the bathrooms. It was fine before, it is even nicer now. The grounds continue to be stunning. The only negative is that they quit serving (continental) breakfast (included).

Staff is wonderful and very helpful. Grounds are beautiful and not at all crowded. Rooms are updated, modern, and very comfortable with full kitchenette with complimentary coffee and water. Great for breakfast and lunch. Unfortunately we didn't request a second floor room or a king bed when reserving. We were so exhausted when we arrived we didn't feel like moving. Our... More
