I just arrived from a week at Rancho Luna, Cienfuegos. Having traveled a lot in Cuba, the first thing I have to say to anyone thinking about going there is that you shouldn't expect the typical clear turquoise never-ending white sanded cuban beach. This beach is pretty rough and natural, which is beautiful but if you travel only for beaches,... More

Housing options are limited in Cuba, and while this has potentially great public areas and a beach location, the bedrooms are decrepit and dirty and the food is scary. If you like cheap rum, beer and good coffee, the open bar is pretty nice, and for the most part, the staff is anxious to please, but this a hotel that... More

Its not about lowering your expectations, its all about understanding the economy and trade restrictions. They just can't get items like we can. The hotel is clean, I love the pool, I hate the dirty old men that bring young girls on the property. The beach is lovely and quiet, and the beach bar is peaceful and never really busy.... More

Like others, I cannot recommend this hotel. The list of faults is endless. The fabric of the building is poor and in places is quite unsafe. Although the swimming pool was being retiled, guests are required to walk through/around the workers with no attempt to shield the dust from tile/stone cutting. There were numerous trip hazards and tiles in the... More

I went to the Rancho Luna in November 2013 because the price was extremely low and I had heard some terrible things. I was concerned for my friends (Cuban) I had to check this out for myself. A new woman manager has made many updates. In the restaurant/ cafeteria, stations are now present with many servers paying attention to their... More

We stayed at Rancho Luna for two nights, transferring from Club Amigo Ancon. Club Amigo resorts allows you to transfer between Club Amigo reports, paying only for a nominal daily fee, and your own transportation between resorts. Staying at Playa Ancon for two weeks, we opted for a change of scenery and thought we'd try this resort. We have visited... More

the travel agencies never knew the pool and area around it , was closed or that it was being sandblasted with coal slag , a procedure outlawed around the world except Cuba . Everyday it did not rain the lobby area of the resort was inside a cloud of coal dust from the procedure . It was like living in... More

I went there myself for 2002, 2004 Hotel is away from Cienfuegos town. I normally rent a moppet and go to the city but about 45 min ride. After my second visit I rent a room beside Jagua Hotel and its cost me 20CUC per day and for week cost me 120CUC with Breakfast. She is the nice lady and... More
