I gave it four stars but note that I rarely give a full five stars. A wonder place to stay. All of the other comments by others about rooms, views, and breakfast are absolutely true. The host, Joyce, is great. We stayed in the Gardener Mine room on the third floor. Great view but no veranda. The shower in our... More

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at vespers and Glacé Bay. Joyce was a welcoming and generous host. The house is wonderful, full of history and beautifully restored. Fantastic coffee and breakfast. Excellent value.

We were delighted to spend 2 nights at this wonderful place. The Vespers gives you a Whole experience - beautiful decor, comfortable room, delicious food, incredible view. Joyce was an exceptional hostess and cook, and she knows a lot about the area. I hated to leave.

What an amazing bed and breakfast! The large old Victorian home has been turned into a showplace! Joyce, our hostess, was kind, helpful, and a wonderful cook! We slept in the Aberdeen Room which is a second floor corner room with windows looking out 2 different sides of the house to the ocean. We watched lobster boats, a Newfoundland Ferry,... More

I had an amazing stay here, Joyce was a lovely host and the baking was amazing. Sitting on the porch with a glass of wine looking out at the ocean ...amazing view! I would go back in a hear beat. Eastern Charm !

This really is the only place to stay if you find yourself here. Joyce is wonderful and the house is fascinating. A great staging post or even somewhere to base yourself when you come and do the trail.

There may not be many good reasons to go to Glace Bay, but if one is determined, this certainly has to be the best place to stay. It is a huge, three story, Victorian era home that has been painstakingly restored. It is located on the coast and the views are remarkable. The rooms are named after area mines and... More

A beautiful B & B in a historic house! We had planned to stay in the Donkin room, but as they were only just opening for the season, they upgraded us to the Passchendaele Suite, which was magnificently large. Breakfast was delicious, and the owner was very kind!

My firend and I stayed here for two nights and it was an amazing place, a beautifully restored convent perched by a cliff overlooking the ocean. The rooms were very comfortable and Joyce, the hostess, was very friendly and helpful. She obviuosly takes great pride in this place and it shows. I really loved this place and will return the... We stayed here for two nights during a motorcycle trip out of Michigan. We had the New Aberdeen Mine Room #2 and it really does have the best view of the ocean! We could even hear the surf at night. It felt like we were the only guests there since it was so quiet! Everything is so tastefully decorated and... More
