Stayed at the Grand Hotel on business. No internet service the evening I arrived nor on the next morning as promised by the hotel clerk. Stains on the carpet and a cigarette burn in the bed comforter (supposed to be a non-smoking hotel). Since I could not work on my computer, I watched the fuzzy TV screen trying to find... More

Just a few comments concerning this posting, it is rare that our Internet is not working, it is supplied through our cable company and is a fiber optic connection. There have been 4 or 5 occasions over the last three years when we have had some area wide problems and in a few of those cases it is due to... More

Extremely convenient central location and otherwise just a nice, clean, straightforward hotel. Good hot breakfast, fast wi fi, and a pretty nice little workout room. After being on the road for a few weeks, the absence of any sort of hotel room "funk" was very notable. Just a very clean feeling/smelling place. Definitely got a lot of value for money... More

The check in staff made us wonder if we made a mistake, seemed to just want to get us checked in and out of the way.The afternoon bar tender was excellent for locale information and all of the other staff were what we expected with the southern hosptaity which made up for the check in.The room on the riverside was... Had a nice-sized room with a balcony overlooking the Mississippi. Had a small kitchenette, and we stored some food in the min-fridge. The only problem was the apparent lack of any sound-barriers. We could hear every footstep above us and when the toilets flushed above, it sounded like a rainshower was about to come down on us. The price was... More

Stayed here several nights with a tour group. Check in was extremely efficient. Room was nice and it was quiet at night. Everything was adequate, but nothing special about the hotel or the room itself. It is on the verge of being a no-frills room although there was a hair dryyer, coffee pot and plastic cups in the bathroom. There... More

'This hotel is not perfect. however, I found my room to be clean. You can smell what ever is cooking ( thankfully the food smells good) -- maybe that was due to the locatin of my room. HOusekeeping did seem a bit haphazard. The replacement shampoo never appeared and the coffee bags were tossed on the end of the counter... More

Hotel has a great location in the heart of downtown Natchez. We thought the hotel was great until we went to bed. I'm not sure when this hotel was built, but it must've been before materials were created to sound-proof rooms. You could hear every door being closed, every step being taken in the hallway and in the room above... More

This guest stayed during Mardi Gras parade and banquet. Normally we do not receive a large number of complaints concerning noise. There is sound proof material in our rooms. The mattresses are top grade commercial Serta and we do received positive comments concerning the quality of sleep on these mattresses. The comment about the pool is well taken, our pool... More

I stayed for a Convention July 2009 and 2010. Both times I was highly disappointed. The service at the front desk was slow and no they were not "Rude" but they were sure far from friendly and did not represent "Southern Hospitality" . The rooms smelt so bad that I had to go to the store and buy fabreeze. There... More

We have discussed this comment with our staff. It is rare that we receive complaints concerning our rooms. All of the A/C units were recently serviced. Had these issues been reported they would have been promptly addressed. Our housekeeping department is well staffed, equipped, and uses the best commercial cleaning products in the industry. More

Recently returned from an over night stay at this hotel. We were in town for a convention across the street. Check-in was super easy and the employee was friendly. The lobby was nice also. However, I was disappointed in the cleanliness of the room. The shower wasn't clean. There was hair in the cups beside the sink. The vents were... More

We will be sharing this information with our housekeeping and maintenance staff; however, our hotel was recently (during this same time frame) inspected by AAA on a random unannounced inspection and they did not note any shortfalls. We have the highest rating offered for our type of hotel through AAA. Cleanliness is very important to us. More

Traveled to Natchez for a Christmas break. The hotel was wonderful. I had a city view room overlooking St. Mary's Basilica and downtown. The room was comfortable and clean. The fireplace in the lobby was a great place to read in the evening after dinner. The staff were friendly and attentive, but also gave me my space. Highly recommend. I... More
