We arrived from New Orleans in the pouring rain and were soaked through by the time we had decamped the cases into a garden villa. On first reflection the room looked lovely, however it turned out to be very dark and gloomy in day light as no natural light allowed into the room as both window blinds and curtains fixed!... More

Traveling a large part of the South we stopped off at Natchez for two days and decided to stay at the Monmouth, what a great idea. Met by Hal, what a great guy and very informative, stayed In Room 25 which was to die for really beautiful. Grounds were stunning and in the evening had pre dinner drinks served by... More

The rooms were extremely clean, updated, just lovely. Roosevelt, the bartender, made my stay so much fun! Roosevelt has a long history with Monmouth and I really enjoyed chatting with him. He has a world famous mint julep recipe.

My wife and I just recently spent 3 nights here for our 23rd anniversary. We had a wonderful experience. The staff was wonderful, the food was good. We went in the middle of January so it was rainy and cold and we couldn't explore the grounds like we would like but what we did see was enjoyable. We will defiantly... More

It is almost impossible for me to write a review that will express justly how incredible Monmouth is. The staff are by far the friendliest and welcoming of any I've experienced. They go out of their way to make sure that you get your money's worth out of your stay. The grounds are meticulously cared for and offer so many... More

Splendid Monmouth Inn is a former plantation, turned Hotel by its current owners.. A wonderful place in which to enjoy a few leisurely days, while visiting the lovely, quaint old two of Natchez, Mississippi.. The gorgeous river is not far and worth a visit... Many other houses of interest in Natchez but always return to Monmouth for dinner... the restaurant... More

Staff was superb. Accommodations all over the property are great but Spend the extra money and stay in the main house for the experience of feeling like the king/queen of the plantation. Have stayed at a few of the other historic homes in Natchez and while they are all excellent, Monmouth was more quiet and peaceful. If your goal is... More

This is an amazing hotel, if only for the atmosphere, at least take the time to tour the home and grounds. We stayed in Suite 25 in the main house on the second floor, well worth the cost. The suite was recently renovated (I believe) and had every amenity possible. My first trip I booked suite 45, or 48 not... More

My wife and I have stayed here four times over the years. All great experiences. New owners two years ago have made it even better. I have stayed at several in Natchez, if you have one this is the one. Rooms are furnished in detail to antebellum grandeur. The dinning in main house is true old Southern yesterday feel, food... Following a recommendation from another hotel, we drove to Natchez to spend two days and one night. Around the bend and up a tree lined path, we arrived at the historic house situated in the heart of Natchez to begin a birthday celebration. Our welcome was warm and true southern hospitality. We stayed in the plantation home in a room... More
