My wife and I have stayed at many Natchez B&B's. This past weekend we stayed at Monmouth Historic Inn for the first time. We couldn't have made a better choice. The buildings and property are just gorgeous and the room was fantastic. My wife has been on many house tours in Natchez and she said that our tour guide, Lacey,... More

A beautifully restored Southern Cotton Plantation mansion that offers rooms in the historic mansion and also cottages scattered around the lovely grounds and gardens. A breakfast menu is offered in a dining room on the estate grounds and is included in the room rate. A very quiet and relaxing stay here.

We happened upon the Monmouth Historic Inn when we decided to make a last minute stay in Natchez. Thanks to our trusty tour book and a Monday night internet special, we could not have been more pleased with our accommodations--luxury-wise and price-wise. We stayed in one of the cottages and we had a lovely dinner at the Quitman Lounge. We... More

This is a beautiful old plantation home that has been restored into a lovely B/B. We stayed in the Mansion. The rooms are spacious, and have the true Southern decor. It takes you back in time. Ask for an upstairs room in the Mansion facing the front lawn. Cottages are offered as well. The onsite restaurant for dinner in the... More

Too cool this sweet little guy greets you and tells you all about the property, our fireplace was on when we got to our room. Cozy oh my goodness and the bed was off the charts it's was a King Full Tester bed. We had a suite and it was so nice and roomy. We had dinner in 1818 Restaurant,... More

Monmouth Historic Inn cleverly combines immaculate new bathrooms with historic opulence. We had taken the Natchez Trail, which can be very slow, so we were almost late, but the staff was very helpful with directions. We started our stay with a refreshing Mint Julep and enjoyed talking to the bartender, who had worked at Monmouth a very long time. The... More

This was our 7th year to spend New Year's Eve at Monmouth Plantation. We had a grand time dining in the grand dining room - a 5 course meal. We stayed in a suite with a living room with fireplace, a huge bedroom with a four poster bed and a large bath. Monmouth is the place to go to relax,... More

We stayed in room #48. This is important to note as each room is different with its own decor and charm. I get the impression the pond cottage rooms may be a little smaller than other available options, but we loved the jetted tub and beautiful porch with rocking chairs. It's perfect for enjoying a glass of wine in the... More

We spent two nights in the Monmouth Historic Inn over this Thanksgiving. Natchez is famous for its pre-civil war mansions and homes. Staying in one, during our visit, made for a great experience. During our stay, we were given a guided tour of the Inn and its grounds, were served excellent "included" breakfasts, and enjoyed an outstanding Thanksgiving feast! Our... More

A gorgeous restored antebellum town home with most of the original grounds. Staying here will give you a flavor of what the old south was like. The original home has been restored and is now the restaurant. The rooms are restored outbuildings or rebuilt buildings on the original location. Being rebuilt, the rooms are modern in function but still retain... More
