We stayed here for two nights - very authentic with beautiful gardens - highly recommended. Only minus was hotel bar closed around 9.30 as does the rest of Natchez so no option but to go to bed.

We only stayed here one night. We stayed in the Clay Room 24. We didn't pick it specifically, but based on reviews, we did ask for a room in the main house. It's very pretty. One of the windows faces the back porch area, so there might be some issues with noise or privacy, but no one was out there... More

We were so pleasantly surprised how friendly the staff was the cottage we stayed in was very quaint love to sit on the rocking chairs on the front porch and enjoy listening to the birds singing the grounds were beautiful a lot of branches needed to be picked up but we tried to overlook that it was just a very... Upgraded to a suite, the rooms were quite and romantic. You were set off in view of the gardens with a out side sitting area. There was a comfortable queen size bed a separate living room and a bathroom with a large juquize tub. A separate shower stall. The experience was wonderful.

This was the highlight of our week-long trip from Nashville down the Natchez Trace. Natchez is charming even in 90 degrees. We had been staying at very nice hotels, but I wanted something special. Reading Trip Advisor reviews, I knew this was the place. We stayed in Pond Cottage. The room was beyond expectation with a mixture of antebellum and... More

I've stayed at Monmouth several times over the years when I travel to see family in Natchez. It is such a great place I can't recommend it highly enough. Staff are incredible, the grounds are beautiful and tranquil, and the breakfast is awesome. We were in the Pond Cottage this time. The room was very nice, the bathroom was excellent,... More

My three sisters and I stayed two nights at Monmouth on July 23rd-24th, 2014 during our annual "sister trip." We all agreed that Monmouth was by far our favorite lodging ever! Monmouth is an actual antebellum home which has private owners and has been converted into a hotel. The home, outbuildings, and grounds are absolutely beautiful and are very well... More

What a wonderful place to stay and relax! Nice and friendly people and qualified service. It is different and you will enjoy it. The house, the cottages, the gardens and the food are an experience to remember when you are back home in cold weather. I hope we can come back one day.

Quiet, peaceful and historical place. We enjoyed our night there last Saturday as it truly is a step back in time. It was elegant and what one would picture of the "Old South." Wealth of that era cannot be believed until you see it. Worth the time to come here and enjoy a bit of the past.
