My finacee and I are planning to get married on the steps of a historic plantation home in Natchez, Mississippi. In order to meet with all of the wedding coordinators (florist, caterer, cakes, etc.) we needed to take a weekend trip to set up all of the details. We looked into different hotels but needed two rooms (one for my mom and I and one for him).
As we searched the internet, we stumbled upon the Sunset Rise Cottage (previously known as Baby Deer Cottage). WOW!!!!!! Did we find a true gem! Tom (the owner) was so accommodating and wonderful to work with. We rented the cottage for the weekend and had more room than we could ask for. In addition to two bedrooms and two bathrooms, we had a kitchen, washer/dryer, living room, beautiful front porch, and a private balcony on the back of the property overlooking the Mississippi river. Breakfast was provided and we enjoyed it as we watched the sun rise out on the front porch (overlooking the gorgeous cemetery). My finacee... more
