My wife and I celebrated our anniversary here, and the memories of our stay in this special house will last a lifetime. Hope Farm sits quietly and unassumingly in close proximity to the palatial and more famously grandiose mansions in Natchez. Notwithstanding, the history emanating from the timbers of this very old place tells a bigger story than could ever... More

We spent 3 nights at Hope Farm and will return there on our next trip to Natchez. Part of staying there is Miss Ethel and her tour of the house. The breakfast, prepared by Miss Elizabeth, was the best or perhaps second best on the trip. Miss Elizabeth showed great skill not only in the quality of what she prepared... More

We stayed overnight here on a bicycle trip up the Natchez Trace, and really enjoyed it. We were up and out early in the morning, and the hostess was sure to get us some fruit before we left. The room was really outstanding, and the location was close enough to downtown to enjoy the trip down to eat.

We stayed only one night as we were traveling home from New Orleans. Rooms and the host were charming. Breakfast was delicious and the house tour was so much fun. We look forward to staying here again

Hope Farm Inn, once the home and headquarters of the Spanish governor, is the oldest house in Natchez. Nestled in a beautiful, hidden wooded area in the heart of the historic homes district, Hope Farm is the B & B of choice for history buffs. Ms. Ethel Banta the owner and hostess brings the history of the property to life... More

Hope Farm and its owner, Mrs. Ethel Banta, a master story teller and great southern lady, provide a gracious setting to enjoy a relaxing time of porch setting. The home and accommodations are filled with history beyond imagination. We stayed in the smallest room with a very tiny bath, but other rooms were much more accommodating, and all were filled... Delightful owner who is extremely knowledgable in Natchez history. Interesting and exremely humorous, Ms Banter takes you on a tour of her home after breakfast which is the one day she will come a knocking on your door and you will have breakfast at 8:30! We loved her and her hospitality. Hot coffee on the screened porch ready at 6... More

I visited Hope Farm as a stop-over for some research for a book I'm writing, and I think I found a whole new novel. Hope Farm is the oldest house in Natchez, with the original structure being the home of the Spanish governor. Our room was an absolute delight: old things that were really old, not set up to look...
