We stayed with Mimee for 2 nights in April 2009 and found the B&B to be very pleasant. Our room was large with a huge comfortable bed and large ensuite. The breakfasts were generous and introduced us to "Grits" - must say we weren't converted!! Our host was very attentive and knew a lot about the area putting us in... more

The reason for our trip was to enjoy a couple of nights in Natchez and then drive the Natchez Trace back to Nashville, our home. We selected the Wensel House based on the previous reviews from TripAdvisor reviewers. Combining the reviews with a “buy 2 nights, get 1 free” rate offer, we booked the First Room at the WH for... more

My husband and I stayed at the 1888 Wensel House August 1-3, 2008 and stayed in the Front Room. We have stayed at this B&B many times and as usual, our stay was perfect. The rooms are very clean, great water pressure in the shower, and the rooms are large with plenty of windows. The southern breakfast in the morning... more

I stayed here for a "girls trip" with relatives, and couldn't have been more pleased! Wonderful rooms and great breakfast. The front porch was so nice to sit on late in the evening.. We could not have asked for a better B&B. The host were very friendly and met our every need. Can't wait to go back! more

You cant go wrong with a stay at Ron and Mimi's. Simple, elegant, and informative. The breakfast is outstanding. The grits are the best! We started out in the cottage but moved into the main house. The main house is more comfortable but the cottage is more private. You are within walking distance from everything in historic downtown Natchez and... more

If you are at all interested in history, this is the place to stay! Mimi and Ron were wonderful hosts. Mimi gave us delightful oral history of Natchez . The property is near the historic district and the rooms were comfortable and clean. A full breakfast started our days there and relaxing evenings in the parlor ended them. We would... more

My friends and I stayed at the Wensel House during pilgrimage and really loved it. The Millers are the owners and were great hosts. The house is right downtown, just a block or two from the river and near a lot of the nice old homes as well as restaurants and boutique shopping. The breakfast was excellent - the best... more

My husband and I visited Natchez in the second week in December. We were visiting family in Baton Rouge and drove to Natchez for an overnight visit. I called the Wensel House the day before to reserve a room. It is located in a historic neighborhood that is good for walking and viewing lovely old historic homes and only about... more

We stayed two nights in the cottage and enjoyed every second of our time there. For a taste of Southern Hospitality (and fabulous breakfast) I would absolutely recommend 1888 Wensel House. The location is perfect. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming. We have only positive thoughts of our short stay and only wish it could have been longer! more

Cordial owners, extremely knowledgeable about Natchez and the area. Central location. Comfortable rooms, mercifully uncluttered. Excellent value. more
