We had the 'romantic' room which was delightful. The breakfasts were plentiful and delightful and the hosts Ron and Mimi were friendly, knowledgeable and helpful while giving us plenty of space. They supplied wine and fruit and it was lovely to sit on the veranda with a glass of wine at the end of the day before dining out. The... More

We had such a great time at the Wensel House. We really liked the atmosphere there; friendly relaxed, intelligent, urbane hosts and a house that feels lived in rather than a show home. We felt like we'd gone to stay with some old friends. If I was ever in Natchez again - which doesn't seem likely - then I'll be... More

We stayed here at the conclusion of our bicycle trip down the Natchez Trace. Ron was a wonderful host and exceptionally helpful. He drove us to dinner and to the car rental agency the following morning. He and Mimi are very knowledgeable about the community and interesting to talk to about the history of the area. The room was very... More

We stayed here for one night and afterward wished we had stayed longer. The house itself is lovely and well located, within walking distance to everything. Our room, Front Room, was nicely furnished and comfortable. The breakfast was delicious and generous. But the best part of our stay was enjoying conversations with Ron and Mimi. They are deeply involved in... More

Stayed for 2 nights while enjoying and experiencing Natchez and choose the best Guest House. Mimi welcomed us warmly after a long journey of our tour and the accommodation is 5* plus. Breakfast wonderful including a good cup of tea. Incredibly passionate for history we were educated to the hilt with this area and beyond. Perfect location linked to another... More

Centrally located in Natchez, near major restaurants (next door to Fat Mama’s Hot Tamales) and in the heart of a historic neighborhood. Plenty of parking, easy to get to, very nice neighborhood to walk in. Free Internet and soft drinks with ice machine. One block from walk along the Mississippi River. Hosts were very gracious - breakfast was excellent. Denver... More

Comfortable, clean and inviting accomodations along with soaring hospitality made our late arrival a big exhale after a long day on the road. Upon arrival we were offered beverages including water, soda, hot tea or wine. Ron and Mimi are a delightful couple with a passion to serve and have a real knack for making you feel right at home.... Beautifully refurbished pre Civil War house with the furnishings to match. The owner have good old fashioned manners and are very much Anglophiles we could have chatted for days as they are also historians. The accommodation was excellent and the breakfast was old style South. If we go down that way again we will certainly stay again.

My sister and I spent one night here and came to Natchez to tour the homes. Ron greeted us and we felt at home right away. He and Mimi have thought of many ways to offer a very comfortable stay including providing ice and a variety of beverages, including wine at all times, a collection of menus from local restaurants...
