I stayed at the Burn shortly before Halloween in 2006. I must say that I have never had such an extraordinary experience. The concerns of other TA members should be alleviated--now the Burn is now fully furnished and the new owners have really hit their stride. We arrived on a spectacular Fall afternoon and were greeted immediately by the wonderful... more

I recently had the pleasure of getting away to The Burn in Natchez, Mississippi. The home was beautiful, the furnishings were amazing, and the hosts were unmatchable. Though it was too cold to swim, the beauty of the swimming pool, built of bricks from a removed quarter house, added a touch that should not be missed. Knowledgeable as to all... more

Myslef and my husband visisted the burn in April 06 for two nights, overall a good experience but needs some improvement. We booked it becaue it was listed in several travel books as a luxury B&B. First the positives - beautiful setting with loveley front and rear gardens and good size pool. Nice rooms with a shared balcony overlooking the... more

I have recently stayed at the Burn and I had a wonderful experience. The furnishings throughout the house were as nice as I have ever seen in Natchez and were actually more to my taste than most other antebellum homes in the area. The bedrooms were very nice and the beds were extremely comfortable. The pool was great to lounge... more

We also booked here based on a previous visit. But we saw the other review dated May 2006 so cancelled the night before our stay. I disucssed it with the owner saying my reason is that there's no furniture, and I asked for a full refund and heard that I'd be charged $25. But $145.50 showed up on my credit... more

We booked on night at The Burn, based entirely on our daughter's experience in 2004. She gave rave reviews-she, her mother-in-law and grandmother stayed in the house, and told of the wonderful furniture, excellent breakfast, ect. Our room was not in the main house. We learned later that the new owers, as of February, 2006, would not be using any... more

My wife and I stayed at the Burn on Dec. 30 2005. We stayed in the Laura room which has a nice porch with a table, chairs, and a fan just outside the front door to the room. Check-in was quick and the room was clean and well maintained as was the beautiful property. It is located on North Union... more

The Burn is one of the first Greek Revival homes in Natchez. We stayed in the house and not in one of the dependencies. Our accomodation was a double bedroom with bath on the third floor. The cost was very much typical of the area and I felt reasonable. Suitcases were hauled up and down the spiral staircase by our... more

We enjoyed a lovely stay at the Burn during Spring Pilgimage. Our room was cozy and comfortable, the breakfast was tasty, and the owners provided personal recommendations for restaurants and sights. The tour given at the Burn was full of insight about Natchez, as well as informing us about the house and its furnishings. more

Terrific room. Mediocre breakfast. Owners are from CA (i.e. not the South...so feels less authentic). Quite expensive, given some of the alternatives in town (Natchez Historic Inn, etc.). more
