I took my husband to Natchez for a surprise birthday getaway. We have been to Natchez before, but stayed at a hotel and we had not been on any of the tours of the homes. I wanted this to be special so I wanted to stay at a B & B. The Burn was perfect. It's in a great location.... More

With bad weather forecast the night of Angels on the Bluff I decided we should just stay the night in Natchez instead of driving home in the rain. Silly me to think there would be a room available anywhere. Luckily the Ernestine Room at the Burn was available and very reasonable to boot. The room, Staff (Nell), and Breakfast were... More

I was with a large group of women that recently spent 3 nights in Natchez touring antebellum homes. Seven of us were lucky enough to stay at The Burn. Nell greeted us on the street and showed us to our lovely and spacious rooms. I stayed in the main house in Lucy's Room. We were right across from the Dining... More

This Bed and Breakfast is in a beautiful antebellum home, with modern amenities including private baths and air-conditioning. Nell provided wonderful hospitality, and the breakfasts were excellent (the best French Toast I have ever had)! I would have given the facility a 5/excellent rating, except for the bed (we were in the Clara Room), which was squeaky with every movement.... More

We chose the Burn as we wanted to experience a stay in an antebellum home during our two week road trip of the South, and also to visit the home of the Walworth family on which the book Pilgrimage: A Tale of Old Natchez is based. The Burn is located in a quiet neighbourhood within walking distance of the town... More

What a treat to stay in an antebellum home - with a wonderful southern breakfast (the best grits), an afternoon tea (with wine ! ), and a private guests-only tour of the home. Felt like we were back in history. The town of Natchez however was sad to see - it has so much potential, but seems to rely simply... More

The Burn is wonderful . This was our second time to stay at this beautiful antebellum home. It's like walking into a simpler time back when ambiance was appreciated. We stayed in the Ernestine Room and it was beautifully decorated in a most elegant way of the time. The home was wonderfully furnished and you felt as if you actually... More

Quel surprise to find this belle of the south B&B. We felt welcome as we stepped back in time to another era. The English garden maze (something I always wanted) was neatly trimmed and immediately took me from the present to the past. Quite clever of them to do that because I didn't realize (real or imagined) how simple the... More

Loved our three night visit to Natchez and our stay here. Beautiful home. Clean. We stayed in the Lucy room and it was beautiful! Comfortable beds. Breakfast was excellent. Nell is the best hostess. She is friendly and helpful. The other staff is very nice and helpful also. The swimming pool is great! Beach towels left in room for pool... More

I took my mom to The Burn for a belated Mothers Day trip in 2014. It was great! Ms. Nell checked us in quickly and smoothly and had our ticket for the home tours ready. We stayed in The Ernestine rooms for two nights. The rooms were pretty and had everything you need. The small bed was comfortable enough, but... More
