We chose the Burn as we wanted to experience a stay in an antebellum home during our two week road trip of the South, and also to visit the home of the Walworth family on which the book Pilgrimage: A Tale of Old Natchez is based. The Burn is located in a quiet neighbourhood within walking distance of the town... More

What a treat to stay in an antebellum home - with a wonderful southern breakfast (the best grits), an afternoon tea (with wine ! ), and a private guests-only tour of the home. Felt like we were back in history. The town of Natchez however was sad to see - it has so much potential, but seems to rely simply... More

The Burn is wonderful . This was our second time to stay at this beautiful antebellum home. It's like walking into a simpler time back when ambiance was appreciated. We stayed in the Ernestine Room and it was beautifully decorated in a most elegant way of the time. The home was wonderfully furnished and you felt as if you actually... More

Quel surprise to find this belle of the south B&B. We felt welcome as we stepped back in time to another era. The English garden maze (something I always wanted) was neatly trimmed and immediately took me from the present to the past. Quite clever of them to do that because I didn't realize (real or imagined) how simple the... More

Loved our three night visit to Natchez and our stay here. Beautiful home. Clean. We stayed in the Lucy room and it was beautiful! Comfortable beds. Breakfast was excellent. Nell is the best hostess. She is friendly and helpful. The other staff is very nice and helpful also. The swimming pool is great! Beach towels left in room for pool... More

I took my mom to The Burn for a belated Mothers Day trip in 2014. It was great! Ms. Nell checked us in quickly and smoothly and had our ticket for the home tours ready. We stayed in The Ernestine rooms for two nights. The rooms were pretty and had everything you need. The small bed was comfortable enough, but... More

You will not meet the owners, but the staff was so friendly, inviting you to cookies and peach tea in the afternoon, a tour of this interesting property inside and out with a glass of red or white wine, and coffee at 7AM followed by Breakfast at 8:30AM Ours was scrambled eggs, stuffed French toast with fruit on top and... We enjoyed our short stay at the Burn. Breakfast was good and the previous evening we were provided a tour of the house with a glass of wine...lovely! The room and bathroom were a good size and quiet, with a balcony to sit and contemplate the world. The staff were friendly and accommodating.

We had an amazing time at The Burn. Everyone was so friendly and it really felt like we were staying with family. Mrs. Nell gave us an amazing tour of the grounds and the house with complimentary wine. Loved the fact there was a pool on the grounds and private parking off the street. We will definitely be back here... More

We had a weekend get-away in Natchez. The Burn was the perfect place to relax after a day of touring the Natchez homes. Nell greeted us like we were old friends. She made sure our room was ready--the ice was even already in the bucket. We got a chance to relax around the pool and enjoy the peacefulness. Breakfast the... More
